  1. I just received my level E. This will be our first time using this program. I was looking through it and it seems to run a little above the other programs I looked at. Is it just me or is that how it is? I also have the Geometry and it seem to be more like for teens than the step up from the level E. So, does this program run a little above the others?
  2. I am not actually one type or the other. More like the "eclectic" approach. I use whatever fits my child. In some things it might be more literature based, others hands on. I just do what fits.
  3. I just recently purchased this for next year. Is the student response book a must or not? I just got the book. Also did your children excel with this program compared to other programs. Last year we used Spelling connections by Zaner - Bloser. It was alright, but he is still struggling a lot in spelling. So, after reading about this program I decided to give it a try.
  4. Thank you. I will check into those.
  5. Next year we are going to be covering U.S. history/American history. I am looking for something that goes with the approach of the people themselves that where in that time. I don't want to stress so much on dates like a typical textbook. I want ds to get "involved" in the history and be able to relate in ways to how there lives were. I hope that made some sense. Do you know of a program, books, or anything that would go good for something like this? I do have these books to start with right now (i put in links to show what books they were in case you were not familiar with them): Don't know much about American History http://rainbowresource.com/proddtl.php?sid=1205359281-114792&id=025010 Have fun with American Heroes http://rainbowresource.com/proddtl.php?sid=1205359281-114792&id=018301 American History stories you never read in school..but should have volumes 1 & 2 http://rainbowresource.com/proddtl.php?sid=1205359281-114792&id=027322 http://rainbowresource.com/proddtl.php?sid=1205359281-114792&id=027323 Thank You for any help.
  6. Has or does anyone use this program? http://homeschoolscience.com/homeschool_science/products.html I just recently bought the Astronomy, birds, and magnetism set. We LOVE it so far. I was just wondering if anyone else uses this and what they think about it.
  7. I just happened to stubble across this site a few minutes ago. It looks like a very active hsling site. I am a sahm of two full spirited boys, 11 and 3. I live in the great state of Wyoming. We started hsling last Feb., and have LOVED every minute of it! I can't wait to jump right in and hear what everyone has to say and recommend.
