  1. I am in a small town and I do not use ours at all. It is easier to check on my phone and click the number to call it. We end up with 4-5 per year. Not sure why they put out so many. They are a waste. Just like the free newspapers that end up in my PO box daily. Why do I have to have all that junk???
  2. Your welcome. Deals like that need to be shared IMO.
  3. Now everything that has been listed I keep in the console of my truck. I use it before I leave the truck. Also my keys are simple. I have it where they detach and I only need to carry the one for my truck. I use my back pockets because it is just easier. lol I hate my front pockets all bulgy.
  4. I am a jeans and capri person everyone of mine have pockets. I guess like the rest of you who feel naked without your purse I feel naked without pockets.
  5.:lol::lol: Good thing I was not drinking my coffee. I would have spit it on the screen after reading that last part.
  6. Not including the diaper bag. If you do, what all do you use it for? I don't carry one and honestly I have tried, but I never have a need to carry enough stuff to use one. As long as I have my phone (in pocket), debit card, cash, and ID (in pocket) I don't need anything else. What am I missing? My sister carries a purse everywhere and the darn thing is always plum full and almost over flowing. To find just her debit card or wallet is a chore in its own. So, I just don't see the purpose. Please enlighten me on why carrying a purse or bag for you is necessary.
  7. I third JcPenny's. That is where I got my sons slim pants. I was there just a couple weeks ago and they had their back to school sale going on. I got all my kids pants for great prices.
  8. If so Endless has marked down most their sandals. I got a pair of my Keen Newport H2 sandals for $38 versus the $95 I paid for my first pair a few months ago. So, I bought a few pairs of sandals, not much of the summer is left here. Yet for those prices I got some for next year.:D All kinds of brands are marked down. Also you just cannot beat their free two day or over night shipping. Well I thought I would give everyone the heads up.
  9. I really hate all the symbols and the stress about the symbols. I keep reading through it and really don't see a way around that.
  10. We were a single car family for a long time. We adjusted to it. Now where I live there is not public transit or anything like that. Also dh works out of town for 7+ days and then he is home for 6-7 days. So, I would just plan everything to be done when he was home or walk to do it. I am so glad we are a two car family again!
  11. Thank you for the line up on the OPGTR. That will come in handy. I also have heard ETC and HOP line up well too. I picked up the entire set for $15 also, so that is why I wanted to know how they lined up. It is the older version but for $15 I could not pass it up. As for site words, I am figuring out my son does so much better with the use of sight words. I guess it is just the way his mind clicks, but whatever works is alright with me.
  12. WELL so you know we have had over 6 Michigan whackadoole families in the last 2 years move into our small town in Wyoming. I can honestly say they are some of the craziest whackadoodles I have ever met. LOL I am really liking that whackadooles word.
  13. You can do a separate page per child or you can do them on one page. No nothing is marked on the planner you can put it in how you need it to be. Here are two places with a few pics so you can see. The first one shows the blocks and the note area. The second shows some of the other stuff in the planner. http://rainbowresource.com/pictures/017347/i/1/95bf50754c4dca734d919dbb http://www.christianbook.com/the-homeschoolers-journal/9780978541309/pd/97152?item_code=WW&netp_id=116164&event=ESRCQ&view=details#curr
  14. 87, algebra 1/2, algebra 1, algebra 2. If I am not mistaken you can go from 87 to algebra 1. Or some skip 87. I cannot remember now. Amazon still has the older ones. We also LOVE Saxon!
  15. Same here, I love it. I am on my second year of using it and just love it. My favorite part, yet a simple one. Is that it is not marked Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday at the top. I am able to use it to fit us how ever I choose to. I do not schedule out everything in it. I use mine as a record of what was done that day and then use the notes area to write down high and low points daily. If I schedule it all out it becomes a mess and I drop the planner, but to use it as a record book for us as worked wonderfully. Also in the boxes for each subject there is enough room to write what was done, the books read, etc. I have tried a few planners and this is the only one that works for me from cover to cover.
  16. I bought Saxon phonics for us to use this year. We are lesson 3 and I hate it already. I know give it a chance, but I am having a horrible time liking anything about it. Anyone else ran into this?
  17. I was like that for a while. Well I figured out what my problem was, I was reading the boards way too much. I stepped away for a few days and did not research anymore, kept in my mind that I wanted to use what I planned. After a few days I was sold on what I had decided, I ordered it THEN went back to the board.
  18. I noticed with the new versions they are done by grades ( K, first grade, etc) and the old versions are leveled (level 1, level 2, level 3). So how do the old version line up to the new ones? Is level 1 K? and so on?
  19. Now here in Wyoming we are used to drought and usually manage in the end to get out cattle to market and the few crops we do grow sold. This year we are getting so much moisture it has damaged hay fields buy flooding and such and our crops are not growing like they usually do. Grocery prices here have been going up quite a bit over the last 4 or so years. A cheap loaf of bread (white off brand, which we don't eat) is $2 a loaf here. For off brand wheat it is $3, now this is just brown colored white bread. IMO If we want a decent loaf of bread it costs about $5 a loaf. Steaks are $9.99-$13 per pound. I did find some ribeyes on sale for $7 a pound the other day. I pay anywhere from $4-6 per pound of ground beef. We have just gotten used to the prices here. Well where I live. The closest Walmart is over an hour away and the closest Sams is 150 miles. So once I pay for the gas (don't get me started on those prices) and go to the larger stores I end up paying close to what I do in our small town.
  20. It has jumped in price there also. Still a bit cheaper in the long run, but prices are jumping up and up.
  21. Now here is my take on it. I think for medical reasons yes, but they need to regulate it better. I know way too many people who go to Colorado to get a "card" and honestly they don't have anything wrong with them. The reason I am not to hot on the personal use being legal is that it doesn't only effect the person smoking it. It effects anyone near. Second hand mj smoke also makes anyone close enough high also. So yes alcohol is a nasty thing, but sitting on my couch having a beer doesn't mean my 6yr old is having a beer also. Versus someone sitting with their child smoking mj and the child is getting high also. Not a good thing. I am also against smoking cigarettes around children and in public places. I hate walking somewhere to pass by a store that has 5 people outside smoking. Yuck!
  22. Do you have hotmail or live? If so you can go to the mark it tab and click Wait! my friend has been hacked option.
  23. I also get bumped back to the home page.
