  1. Hmmm, we have not looked into it. I will talk to their Dr about that.
  2. I don't know~! lol I just was asking because that Big Brother-ish thread was moved but it's still there and I don't get why/where it was moved. Thanks!
  3. Thanks so much all of you who posted with replies. It (bed wetting) runs in my side of the family. I am going to chill out about it and try some ideas that were given.
  4. My ds ages are listed below. All 3 wet the bed. Not sometimes not most of the time, EVERY night. I need ideas for how to get this under control. We have tried no drinking after 5 pm. My boys only drink water. We have totally cut out all other fluids. Thanks
  5. No actually we have only know the family for about 10 months. My husband and I do want to reach out to this family BUT like you said I don't want to have resentment or bitterness.
  6. No help but I would love to know some too!
  7. I will provide the food but will not have to change anything that I do, other then add more, lol. :001_smile:
  8. I am the OP and I can answer this! :001_smile: I believe they feel they can trust me. John is over here A LOT already. I really don't think they are thinking about the money right now. They are going through a REALLY difficult time as a family and I don't think much else is on their minds. I DO think that they are thinking this is the easiest option for them at this time. We live right across the street so it is very convenient.
  9. Thanks for the link, it is very helpful!
  10. We will feed him and yes 8-9 hours a day. Should have said that in the OP, sorry!
  11. The situation is this, John is 9 years old and both of his parents work full time. He has an older sister but she has moved out due to some family issues. Usually his sister is with him until his mom comes home. This summer he is going to need adult supervision during the day. They asked if I would consider watching him and they would pay me. I am going to watch him. I have no problem with that. My dh and I love him as well as my boys. My question is how much do you think we should get paid per week? I really don't have any idea what the "going" rate is. I don't want/need top dollar but do think I should be compensated, plus they want to pay. What are your suggestions and why on the amount? Thanks!
  12. Ok Rebecca this whole post realy helps me. You are giving me a visual that I really need. I do not have the same goals for each of them. I am going to try and follow the curr. pretty closely and see how each learns and try to decipher how they learn and what works for them individually. They are both young and i want them to enjoy learning. From doing this with my older one I know they will enjoy the curriculum.
  13. My first had a super sensitive bottom to the point that it would bleed. We used wash cloths at first. Then when it got a little better I started making my own wipes, paper towel cut in half, small amount of J&J body wash and baby oil. I have used that for all of my boys and it has worked out well.
  14. Thank you all for your thoughts and responses. I have a little time to mull it over and taking your thoughts into consideration.
  15. Thanks Josie, I appreciate the response. I really am not uptight about it just a little hesitant as this is my first time schooling 2 at one time doing the same work. My 3 yo actually seems more advanced to me then my 4 yo so I am actually not worried about that. Anyway thanks again!
  16. Would I need 2 meeting books for this when schooling to K'ers at the same time? TIA!
  17. In the fall (I know I have plenty of time but...) I am going to start MFW with my (will be these ages by Sept.) 4 and 5 year old. We will be starting Kindergarten. So my question is, would you teach this to them together or seperate? My dh says together. I am sure that many of you may think I am silly but I have never had to school more than one child. And now to further embarrass myself..........How do you do it? I mean I am worried that one will "get it" and the other won't. Oh dear I am afraid I am not being clear. If you understand at all what I am asking/saying, any replies would be much appreciated. :001_smile:
  18. Ohh that sounds like fun! Dh and I played laser tag when we were on our honeymoon in FL. To this day it is a great memory! We had such a blast!
  19. I chose Dreft becuase that is what I have used for my kids up until their about 10-12 months old. My first child reacted negatively to regular (Tide) detergent so I tried Dreft and it was fine. So I used that for the next 2. I really hadn't tried anyhting else since that worked. After 1 year though Tide seemed to be fine for them.
  20. Well blow me down! Really this is an OCD thing?? Oh my word I am the same way and always just thought I was a freak (well probably am that too ;)) I never even thought of it being an OCD thing. I need to go google that.................
  21. Doran, I have 3 boys, almost 9, almost 5, and almost 4. No way are they allowed to talk to anyone like that. Not their father, not their mother, not their brother, not their cousins, not the nasty kid next door....NO ONE. No you were not wonrg. Obviously since you have had issues with this boy before it sounds like the way his parents, parent.
  22. AND the parents were fine with Junior getting the punishment because it taught Junior a lesson.
