    We turn the computer off at night and if we're leaving the house during the day unless dh is downloading something. It is usually on during the day (which is why I use LeechLock on this site :D.)

    I don't know where you are but the company my husband works for has private financing and payment plans available. http://www.pacificdentalservices.com/ And they're always getting people who need what SmileCare did to them fixed, so be really glad you escaped them!

    :iagree:This is my experience as well. I went to K-6 in CA, 7th & 8th doing PACE at a Private Christian School in AK, and then back to CA for high school. When I took the placement test for PACE, it put me in 4th grade spelling & English :eek: Reading in my CA district was almost all sight reading. I remember hearing from teachers how phonics were bad. I learned to read in kindergarten (most kids didn't) but to this day I remain a HORRIBLE speller. This is the goal of the end of First grade?! :svengo: I was worried about my friend's daughter who is starting ps kindergarten this year, and now I'm terrified!

    I didn't know that that was a myth (my grandmother told it to me as a kid.) I am VERY relived to hear it's not true! I get arguments and disbelief from people when I say something that I learned as a homeschooling-keeping-myself-informed-mom. At my ds2's birthday party as an ice breaker for the adults I put names of animals on index cards on their backs and they had to ask questions to figure what they were. Everyone at that party argued with me and said that insects (I had a butterfly and a bee) were not animals :confused: No matter what I told them about the 5 classifications of lifeforms (or whatever it's called,) no one believed me. I had to go online and prove it to my sil after the party.

    :iagree: This is me, over analyzing everything. And then I say something that has a different/deeper meaning in my head, but it dosen't come out like that and I end up offending someone and not even knowing it! People think I'm crazy for wanting one more (we REALLY want a little girl!) considering I almost died both times I was pregnant. And I hear a lot from my grandmother-in-law that I couldn't handle another one :glare: I would rather hear that another one would be a blessing than "you're crazy."

    Isn't there a Disney movie with the Rock and a daughter taking ballet? I remember the scene of the professional football player sweating and barely making it through the ballet teacher's lesson :D
