Puzzles. Dd and I usually do two or three 1,000 piece Ravensburger puzzles each year. We have already completed three of them in the last month and a half. So we decided to up our game and I ordered this 3,000 piece puzzle from Barnes and Noble. I think it will take up most of the space on the dining room table!

I read somewhere the suggestion of using the skinny elastic headbands instead of hair ties. The kind that you can get in multi-packs from the store.

Thanks for all of the tips. They have been on a couple of cruises already, one from Vancouver to Alaska, and another from Baltimore up through New England/Canada. I will give him a call and give him your suggestions :)

My parents would like to take a Panama Canal cruise in late March/early April. I don't know anything about cruises, so I thought this would be a good place to ask :) They don't know how many days/nights, but they would need to leave from Florida. Any suggestions, helpful hints, etc. would be appreciated!

Our newest game is Anomia, which is available as either a board game or card game. It takes about 20 minutes to play. Another fun one is Telestrations, but it is more of a party game.

I hadn't even thought of that - I am nearsighted but she has perfect vision. Now I have to find out what my prescription is...

DD and I are going on a mother/daughter trip in a couple of weeks, and it will be her first time snorkeling. (And my first time in about 18 years!). I am wondering if it is worth it to buy our own mask/snorkel to take with us rather than renting them? If so, any recommendations for good brands/types of equipment? Either from somewhere like Amazon or a brick-and-mortar sporting goods store. Thanks!

When our hour was up, we hadn't finished solving the puzzle. But I guess since there wasn't a group after us, she let us stay in until we figured it out, probably another 7 - 10 minutes.
