  1. Most of the time guys don't reach our full height until we are about 23.
  2. Who are some of your favorite comedians? (Mostly stand up type, not so much comedy actors) Mine: Demetri Martin Jim Gaffigan Steven Wright Mitch Hedburg Ellen Degeneres Emo Phillips
  3. My real name is in the address of my blog. I try to avoid using my kids names though. I rarely blog about my family, so it doesn't come up often. I don't think I have put my wife's name on my blog either.
  4. http://www.politico.com/click/stories/1103/miss_america_future_pol.html I thought this was interesting. I am a fan of everything I know about this young lady (admittedly, I don't know that much). She seems like a great role model.
  5. Wondering how many dad's, husband's, men are on this forum. I notice once in a while I am referred to as "she." It is an understandable assumption based on the fact that the prevailing population on here is female. I can think of at least 3 or 4 of us on here...pop in and say HI.
  6. My FIL also wears one for protection of his bald spot.
  7. I either use an electric razor or shave while I shower. Walking stick, eh? I'll have to ponder that one.
  8. After looking at AoM's article, I think I should wear one with a wider brim and a shorter crown(probably in gray), tilted back slightly, and cocked to the side.
  9. Here is one I tried on at Target...the profile pic. Let's just say I chose not to purchase it. http://www.facebook.com/people/Tony-Goodwin/1072598813 Also, the mustache is gone by now.
  10. I was literally JUST on AoM, reading an article about the virtues of cold shaving.
  11. Ahh, but those are Toyota miles. On sale 2 for 1 vs Chrysler miles! I wouldn't hesitate to buy a Toyota with 150,000 miles on it. It still has at least half its life left.
  12. I have noticed at several stores they are selling guys hats (fedoras perhaps?). The guy on White Collar wears one often. And Bruno Mars wears one...at least in this video: So, is this the style now? I feel conflicted, since I think it looks kinda stylish and dashing, but on the other hand I tend to agree with P.J. O' Rourke here: So, what do the (mostly) ladies of WTM think? Good look, or no?
  13. The Honda Odyssey and Toyota Sienna go back and forth every couple years as the "best minivan." Things likes handling, reliability, safety, MPG, etc. We had a Plymouth Grand Voyager (aka Chrysler Town and Country, Dodge Grand Caravan). It was okay, but it fell apart too quickly, IMO. I would probably steer clear of Chrysler branded minivans. The one great thing about the T & C is the Stow and Go seating.
  14. Well, it is much like what a few others have said... I have a faith, and a relationship. Religion, to me, implies empty ritual and legalism.
  15. I actually find the terms opposed to each other. I hate the term "religious."
  16. So? If you don't like a book, write a negative review about it, protest it, complain about it to everyone you meet, don't buy it yourself. If you own a bookstore, choose not to stock it. But to go into somebody else's place of business and "lose" books because YOU don't agree with what is written in there is wrong on several levels.
  17. For me anyway, it is more important that I respect my wife than I respect myself. It sucks, but I feel oftentimes we need to "die to self" and esteem others as greater than our own self.
