  1. http://gizmodo.com/5914534/the-most-magical-event-in-twitter-history-just-happened Amazing.
  2. If it were an exercise that translated to swimming better it would make sense. The slower person would be getting stronger, whereas the faster one already is stronger.
  3. Tabbed browsing and high-speed internet have certainly not helped me haha. You could try this: http://www.cozi.com/ I use an app on my phone that I can put stuff into and it shows up on my Google Calendar. When I am online I make sure to have my Google Calendar up to remind me of tasks.
  4. Hey now, I prefer an electric razor for day-to-day use. I get a decent shave, it's quick, I don't worry about cutting myself. I shave early in the morning, and my mind certainly is in no state to be engaged in the experience. And I certainly don't need any more testosterone production! :D
  5. Too bad he couldn't take some of these razors with him: http://artofmanliness.com/2008/01/04/how-to-shave-like-your-grandpa/
  6. I just wanted to thank everyone for being so respectful and considerate of those with other views! I am learning a lot, and it is very interesting...
  7. I like Miranda Lambert, but I am not so sure she is appropriate for every 13 year old...
  8. Not true. We are military, we homeschool, and we are on Oahu. No allowance.
  9. My wife and I are complimentarian. As I am the husband, and that is not an option on your poll, I couldn't answer using the poll.
  10. Interesting, thanks for the link! It seems to be implying that these gifts were limited to the Apostles...is that a correct observation?
  11. Thanks! Is this the only verse used to support this argument? It does appear weak at best, as some have already mentioned in this thread.
  12. I hear great things about the Braun Series 7, and I like my Panasonic. I have also used Norelco and Remington. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B001DKMY9Q/ref=asc_df_B001DKMY9Q2034275?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=asn&creative=395093&creativeASIN=B001DKMY9Q&hvpos=1o1&hvexid=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=198811140091987199&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt= This is the one I have, it works pretty good, can be used wet or dry, easy to clean.
  13. Sorry! It's the point of view that certain spiritual gifts have "ceased." Usually referring to the miraculous sign gifts, such as prophecy, tongues, healing, etc.
  14. Could somebody explain to me the biblical reasons for cessationism? Most of the arguments I have heard for it are experiential or otherwise extra-biblically based. I expect everyone in here to remain respectful of people who share a different point-of-view than your own. :001_smile:
  15. Phonics/Reading: Finish up OPGTR - currently about halfway done, I think Grammar: Continue in FLL Level 1 Spelling(/Vocabulary?): Nothing, unless we see that it is needed. So far she is good with spelling Math: Math Mammoth Finish 1-B, then (start) 2-A Writing: A Reason for Handwriting Book A, then maybe B, copywork Science: Mr. Q Classic Science Elementary Life Science History: Mystery of History Volume I (Second Edition) +Audio book, Bible: Continue w/ Jesus Storybook Bible, AWANA, Big Truths for Little Kids If she handles that load well, I am considering Song School Latin starting the second semester, very gently paced.
  16. We have an "oldies" station here that plays stuff from the 80's and 90's. If you want more modern stuff, I guess Taylor Swift? NSync, BackStreet Boys, 98 Degrees, Jessica Simpson, older Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Ace of Base... Not exactly sure how "clean" those are for your standards.
  17. Most often I see myself in 3rd person. When I realize that, is when I realize I am dreaming. That's when things start to get really interesting...
  18. I wonder if there are a lot of personality traits that have such a divided opinion...
  19. It was inspired by this thread, but I have seen or heard many people who feel this way. Also, I am not trying to call out or upset anyone, especially anyone who posted in that thread. You just reminded me that I didn't understand this, that's all. http://www.welltrainedmind.com/forums/showthread.php?t=388803
