  1. I agree with this list except parasailing was actually really nice.
  2. My mom had those symptoms dramatically for 4 days in the middle of her Covid infection recently. Yogurt helped. And avoiding whole grains and other dairy for awhile. Hers didn't linger though. In the past, I took Culterelle when I had lingering issues and it cleared it up.
  3. Adding to anecdata. I had 2 doses of Moderna last spring/summer. Then December 13 had Covid. We believe it was Omicron, based on reports from local health officials. 2 weeks ago, my 72 year old mom, who had 2 doses of Pfizer early on, came down with Covid. I went to stay with her and was unable to prevent exposure for a variety of reasons. My unvaccinated sister, who had Covid this past January, took turns staying with her also. But when it was all said and done, neither of us ended up with any symptoms, and neither did our families. We also had all spent time with my mom the day before she developed symptoms. So, for us, 5-6 months out, I guess we had some level of natural immunity.🤷‍♀️
  4. I gave one example. I do understand about exceptions. That wasn't my point. I was just disagreeing that everyone who was going to die has died already. I don't think you can state that as fact.
  5. I don't agree. I have very unhealthy, unvaccinated friends who are just now getting it for the first time. And there was no difference in severity compared to the vaccinated friends.
  6. I don't have a scientific position. I just know what I am seeing. Vaccination status is having little difference in the people I know. I know fully vaccinated, boosted people with long Covid. Fully vaccinated people who died. Unvaccinated, diabetic, asthmatic heart patients who had mild cases.......the list goes on. However, at the beginning, unvaccinated mil had a bad case while vaccinated fil never caught it. Local married couple: unvaccinated wife died, vaccinated husband had mild symptoms. That list goes on as well. It's just noticeably different now.
  7. Sure! I have been very pro vaccine throughout. Now, based on what I am seeing, I don't know.
  8. I know it's just anecdotal, but I know a very even mix of vaccinated and unvaccinated. Almost everyone I know has had Covid. And the deaths among those are pretty evenly vaccinated and unvaccinated. That wasn't true a year and a half ago, but is now. Eta: it's worth mentioning that my pool is somewhat large. Dh is a pastor and people are fairly open about their vaccination status. I've also moved numerous times and have friends and family from all over on social media.
  9. Gabb wireless phones look just like smartphones. It's what we use for middle school.
  10. These phones are also for kids whose parents want them to have a phone but not internet. I don't think there is a negative connotation.
  11. I wish it was longer! But 10+ years is better than getting away with it! Thankful he was caught and convicted!
  12. She started the kefir. She hasn't mentioned it as much. I asked her and she said it comes and goes. I'll give it a little more time and check with her again.
  13. Interesting. When she was away at college, she was sick a few times and didn't test. (long story) So I have wondered if she had it or not.
  14. I think I am just getting hung up on "3 out of 10 people live in these counties." I'm not sure why it bothers me. I guess because I don't live in those counties. I get my info. about our numbers primarily from a local hospital. I think I am just frustrated with how he's communicating. It might just be me. But all throughout people have exclaimed over numbers in Florida and whether or not our reporting is accurate. But South Florida is a very different place than North Florida. I'm probably not explaining myself well.
  15. I did. I was just saying that throughout the pandemic, people in our tiny town would hear "Florida numbers" and panic, not realizing that what was happening in Miami etc. was not at all the same as what was happening here. I am just saying it has happened both ways.
  16. The opposite is also true. We live in a teeny tiny town in North Florida. What is true of Miami is not true here.
  17. We actually used to love kefir. We'll try it again!
  18. She really does burp a lot! Interesting.
  19. I can Google, and have. We also will be going to the doctor soon. But my 19 year old dd has developed frequent heartburn. At first we thought it was college food and stress. But it has persisted since she has been home. I never had heartburn until I was older and pregnant and only at night. So I am unfamiliar with it in someone so young. She's trying avoiding the typical foods, but almost everything causes it. Any non-scary suggestions?
  20. I got shingles 6 months after my covid vaccine. No idea if that's a connection.
  21. Mine only lasted about 3 days. It started coming back gradually after that. I would say it was mostly normal by 10 days or so. Same for my other family members.
  22. I'm not sure I understand what you are saying. I'm just saying I am not convinced these things are not true about him.
  23. I think they are both terrible and the whole thing is a mess. But I am not 100% sure she's lying. Many did not believe my mom about my dad's issues. When I told a friend about his double life, the response was, "That's not the guy I know." I can't even imagine if my dad had professional acting skills. I know I am biased. I'm just not convinced.
  24. Because there was a mix of vaccination status. Yet everyone had similar symptoms and duration. I wouldn't say the same thing for Delta and before though. Then I saw a difference in church members families between the vaccinated and unvaccinated. But I am not seeing that at all with Omicron.
