  1. I made a lentil curry dish and a little goes a long way! We have eaten it two days in a row for dinner but I think I'd better freeze the rest or the family might mutiny! My only issue is that it has some sour cream in it. Not tons I just needed something to thicken it up a bit. Do you think that if I froze it it would have an ok texture after being thawed an reheated????? Meli
  2. How is everyone doing with the new points system? I'm struggling. I fell of the wagon AFTER Thanksgiving(leftovers:tongue_smilie:). Now with the new system I'm having a hard time finding a new normal. I was just wondering if anyone else was feeling the same way. Meli
  3. I dropped my oldest daughters 1st one down the heat vent by accident! I laughed she cried! :tongue_smilie: Meli
  4. I just saw something like this at Joann Fabric it looked cute. http://www.amazon.com/Project-Runway-Fashion-Dress-Making/dp/B001HTRNYO/ref=sr_1_19?s=toys-and-games&ie=UTF8&qid=1291082189&sr=1-19 Meli
  5. Yup, I've done it and I loved how I felt and I lost about 20 lbs. Once you let sugar back it is extremely hard to go back. My only advice is do not replace it with anything. This can be very hard but well worth it. Best wishes, Meli
  6. Cortana have you been outside yet? I'm still in my jammies and haven't even opened the door to get the paper! The kids are begging to play outside but I keep putting them off. I need to head out for some shopping in a while but really don't want to! I was just praying that the power stays on for the next couple days. I'm usually not a worry wart but, I think that would really make things miserable! Meli
  7. I just saw these this morning and boy do they look yummy! http://thepioneerwoman.com/cooking/2010/11/french-onion-soup-stuffed-mushrooms/ Meli
  8. I second the magic eraser! It is a must have for any household with children! Meli
  9. Hey Cortana! Nice to see someone form this side of the mountains. Pretty crazy weather! I'm thankful this week for the same thing! It will be interesting to see what this place looks like when we wake up! Meli
  10. I totally agree but I might add some sauteed veggies or even raw veggies. :drool5: Yummy! Meli
  11. This blog has a ton of great ideas. You'll have to dig a bit but I hope it helps. http://weefolkart.com/content/spring-and-summer-gnome-home-ideas Meli
  12. Has anyone watched these videos. Our local Costco has a double boxed set for only about $17.00. I'm wondering in they are worth watching? http://www.questar1.com/shopexd.asp?id=1001 Thanks in advance, Meli
  13. Oh my! Sooooo good. My kids love these. Mix equal amount of chili powder and sugar, add a pinch of salt. Cut the potato into fries, pour a little olive oil on them and sprinkle with the seasoning. Bake at 400 for about 20-25min. Mix them up once during cooking. I like mine a little crispy and just a little black on the edges, some of my family like them just nice and golden. Meli
  14. I'm just about to finish my second week and I'm down 6lbs. It feels great! I've been loving 1/2 of a small avocado (2pts) on one of those sandwich thins(1pt). I even get crazy and put on a slice of bacon (1pt), add lettuce, sprouts and tomato and it's a great lunch or dinner. It is delicious and filling! It has been pretty easy so far. Best wishes! Meli
  15. Yup, the sky looks evil today. It's just been a strange day we had a power outage for about an hour today and now the cell phone. It make you feel a bit unsettled. Meli
  16. Sound like it's just local. Everyone here is down. We have never had such a big problem it's kinda strange. Meli
  17. We are having Verizon problems here in Spokane, Washington. Just wondering how far and wide the problem is?? OUr phones are on but can't call and when you call a cell from a land line you get a busy signal. How bout you? Meli
  18. I am allergic to antiperspirant and this is what happens to me! It is terrible but just find a DO with no antiperspirant. My current favorite is one from Melaleuca. I had had good luck with Toms of Maine but I prefer the scent of the Melaleuca. Meli
  19. Thanks ladies! I just tried on my dress and I've decided to go hose less. The dress is longer than I remember so not too much of my pasty whites show.:001_smile: I think it will be just fine. Meli
  20. Wow those are really different answers! Still at a loss. I usually wouldn't wear any hose, I hate them. But.....it's chilly here today and my legs are pasty white :ack2:. Anyone else? :bigear: Meli
  21. What color nylons to wear with a chocolate brown dress and brown shoes? I don't want to wear skin/tan color. I'm thinking either cream or dark brown (to match the dress). What say you? Meli
  22. Gulp!!!!:001_unsure: I was hoping to get away with copy/diction /narration work also. SOTW not meet grade one EALRs.......I could be in big trouble. I have worked so hard to plan this year I hope that my AT is kind and gentle if she rips my plans to shreds.;) Meli
  23. Thanks Rosy! I feel so focused toward planning our actual curriculum that I'm a bit nervous about having to spend too much time on CVA's requirements. I sometimes struggle with procrastination when it's something I'm not understanding or notfeeling confident about. I'm sure it will all be fine, last year was fine, so I need to just wait and see. But I'm not really great at that either. ;) Meli
  24. So I guess I"m a little slow to catch on but........What does it mean that our SLP's will be auto filled in? Will we be able to customize them? How strict are they about sticking to them? This will be our second year with CVA but last year we did the Calvert program so this is my first year with CVA custom. Meli
