  1. Hi everyone, I need your help please. If you have any free lapbooks or notebooking all subjects and all ages needed for a co op. Please email me at ephdrye@att.net. Thanks for all your help. I figured with this group I would be blessed to get this from all of you. Your all awesome. Your friend in Christ, Pam:)
  2. :lol:Love it. I am so glad you took the time to share. I love your other post as well, God did explain this for us that believe. It is up to each individual to decide what they believe it is called free will and we love everyone regardless of their beliefs and pray that God will speak to their hearts.:D
  3. Thanks we where just discussing this on another thread.
  4. I want to know if you can use the No Boring Practice, Please series By Harold Jarnicki as a full grammar instruction. Need your opions. I think R & S can be so hard for kids to understand. I have WG and Easy Grammar. I don't like learning the preps. first and it can sometimes be hard for kids even me sometimes to understand. I need some opions and feed back here. I would like something easy to teach but they actually learn and retain and enjoy. Thanks you are always a help.:D
  5. I didn't have this so thanks so much. We love free!!:D
  6. P.S. We did sit down as a family and go over the changes and what was expected and we have been using curriculum. He would just push my buttons so much that I wanted to explode and I would just quit from pure emotional exhaustion.
  7. I have read your thread and first I want to start with I feel your pain. People joke about me being a unschooler because I would give up and quit. I am struggling just like you right now, trying to have a schedule but my problem isn't so much the work as ds's attitude and yes defiance. I don't know the answers only prayer and God but I do know I have to start making him accountable for his actions or lack of as well as his attitude. Just wanted you to know you are not alone.:grouphug: Praying for success for of all of us who haven choosen to homeschool and the daily battles that go along with it.
  8. I needed this right when I read it. It is amazing how God's time is perfect. Thanks for sharing this. It is often so easy to get our thoughts focused on things that don't matter. Thanks for the encouragment.
  9. I don't do the per say classical education but just wanted you to know I feel your pain and I have learned from other seasoned HS's on here that you do what works for you and your family. Just wanted to give you a :grouphug: and hope that you will find what your looking for. Many blessings and praying you through.:D
  10. :bigear: I am also going to be doing a co op science food as well this year and I would love to hear yours from last year as well as any responses for this year.
  11. Jana, Thanks so much. From all the imputs that is exactly what I am going to try. I want to spend time with him that is one reason we homeschool. I also want to know what he is learning and grasping and where we need to work. Thanks again for all your help.
  12. Thanks everyone. I am going to try it this year. I appreciate all your imputs.:grouphug:
  13. Thanks Kim and I am going to look at the old threads also. I appreciate all the imput.
  14. Robyn, Thanks I think that is what I am going to try and do. I really don't want to but I feel it is in his best interest to start being more independent in his learning and like you said I am here for any questions but I want him to try and start trying to figure things out before calling me. Thanks for all the responses. I am not comfortable but my dh thinks I really need to cut the apron strings as he puts it. He feels he plays me alot and he knows what he is doing even when he asks questions. I am naive enough to think oh my baby needs me and can't figure it out. lol
  15. I would like all TT users to respond to their personal expierence. Has anyone used TT and tested poorly or do you see that they do well. I am looking for grades 5 and up. Thanks for your time and thoughts they mean alot to me. This forum is a blessing.:Angel_anim::Angel_anim:
  16. Thank you all for answer. I do have the teachers book but I just don't want to have to be there and read to him. I was wanting for him to be able to do his math and R&S English pretty much on his own. I will be readly available for any questions, but I really want him to take responsibility for his own education. I have really been there to much and he has become completely dependent on me and I want to have that time together. I don't just want to throw it at him and leave him alone. I don't mind reading along with him in my teachers book and asking the questions and have him answer. I just want him to take alittle more responsibility. Does that sound crazy. lol I guess I am trying to say our homeschool has not been good because I am a push over and he munipulates me really bad and calls me on almost every question and he knows the answer just for the attention. I feel he is getting to old and needs to be alittle more independent. I don't ever want to just hand him his work and say let me know when your done and we will go over the answers. I want to spend time with him. What to do?:001_huh:
  17. I need to know from those of you who have used Rod & Staff English if a student can read and do the student book without a teacher's book. I guess what I am trying to say is can he learn this independently. Grade 5. Thanks
  18. Thanks for all the responses I will check all of these out.
  19. Can anyone give me some easy spiral type grammar/English and your thoughts on the curriculum. Thanks.
  20. I am asking this for a friend from those of you who have used the old version of TT Pre Algebra. Do you need the Textbook if your student likes doing everything on the computer, and how many CD's come with the program and list them please. Thanks:001_huh:
