  1. I am asking this for a friend from those of you who have used the old version of TT Pre Algebra. Do you need the Textbook if your student likes doing everything on the computer, and how many CD's come with the program and list them please. Thanks:001_huh:
  2. I just want to thank everyone so much for all their help. I also want to thank you Amber for being such a blessing. I am going to try the testing and websites and other materials. Thanks again for everyone who is such an inspiration when needed.:grouphug:
  3. He loves TT. I don't have to fight him to do it. yea.
  4. I knew of 1 of these sites they are all awesome thanks I have saved under favorites.:D
  5. Should I just try to get someone to trade TT7 for TT6 and finish 5 and go on to 6? Would that be the best answer to my situation?:bigear:
  6. I have sent an email requesting that they might think of letting us try another trial peroid because they can see we didn't get to use it. I guess we will see how that goes. Can't hurt to ask.:D
  7. I can't find anyone selling either of the one's you suggested and the calculadders master pak is that the cd/dvd? I have the workbooks for professor B level 1 &2. Would that help. I really have zero dollars to spend this year if we want to continue homeschooling. We have thought about putting him in PS but he is not happy about that and we don't believe that to be the right answer so just reaching out for ideas and help. We just finished the PASS test so I don't even know yet where he scored on it because of finances. Keep your thoughts coming and it is great to hear from you again as well as all the others.:bigear:
  8. I know there are many of you out there using TT. Please Please give me your advise as well. Thanks
  9. Is anyone interested in trading TT6 for TT7 Good condition. I'm not sure if this is where I should post this if not sorry.
  10. We tried that but some where between my premenapause we didn't get much finish before it expired.
  11. I looked into the LOF but not sure the cost and what I would need. I thought they said it was not expensive but it looked like it to me. My budget this year is zero. lol
  12. We are still in TT5 because we changed curriculum's mid stream and there is a lot of stuff on the Table of contents I knew he hasn't covered.
  13. My ds is suppose to be in 7th but we are still working through TT5. He needs the bigger multiplication, division, fractions, etc. Should I finish TT5 and then go to TT7 which I already have, or complete TT5 and go to TT6? Thanks for your time to imput.:D
  14. I say take a deep breath, it's all going to work out.:grouphug: You know what works and what doesn't for your family. Start fresh and do what you can without overloading all of you, that won't help anyone and will only add to the frustration. God gives us do overs so pray, trust him and I will pray for you as well and don't beat yourself up. The good thing about home school is we can always tweek things to make it work. Hope this encourages you and you just start fresh without overload do a regular schedule and take it one day at a time.:D
  15. For my ds 11 switching to TT has been more than a blessing and he asks to do math!!!!!!!:D Yes, we love it and will not be switching back. My friend is using it for her dd 12 and ds13 and ds loves it dd listens to lecture and then uses the book that works better for her but everyone is doing awesome and doesn't mind doing it. Good luck and if you do go with it I pray it is a blessing to you and yours as well.:grouphug:
  16. We are do meals on wheels in our area and voluteering at the Nursing homes in our areas with activities and other things. Awesome way to help all of us see and share Jesus!!!!!!!!:D
  17. If you have the older one you can set up a new user on your computer and once you have that new user set up and are on it you can load the TT and it will be on both users but you can start like new. Your other choice is you can unload and reload and it will wipe everything clean. Hope this helps. I had to call the company to find this out, because I wanted to play on ours before teaching ds and realized I couldn't go back.:D Enjoy we love this program.
  18. I don't know about you but man to I beat myself up when I blow my stack. I try all my anagrams first and then lose it. For example NES (no eternal significance) if something does not have eternal value I shouldn't worry. Great when it works. lol and PUSH pray until something happens- never happens quick enough for me.
  19. I have to agree it is so nice to share our feelings on here and know we aren't alone, that is why I love this forum.:grouphug:
  20. Sometimes when things are rougher I think to myself that when we do make it through this (and yes we will!) there will be far more benefits on the other side than we can see frustration right now. Chances are, most of the issues that are "issues" for us with our "tough to teach kids" are issues not only in school, but really, in their lives in general. School gives us one more avenue to influence them greatly in how we would like them to behave. And, I also keep in mind that most things that are really worth our time and energy (especially if they are tough) grow us the most. Hard to remember in the thick of things... but rewarding at the other end nonetheless. :001_smile: You are so right:iagree: Thanks so much. It is easy to get tunnel vision.
  21. Amen!!! This is one thing I have had to return to but his attitude is pretty stubburn.
  22. Mandy lol. My dh sounds like yours and ds is mini version as well and it sure isn't as funny at 11yrs old and all day every day. It is so great to hear from others your not alone. Maybe I need to pick up a tag along he is basically an only child since my ds 18 is not around. I know he acts better for others I have tried and proved it. lol
