  1. I really like hearing everyone's thoughts on this. I think I am going to try and use both EG and WG and see how it works. Thanks for the :grouphug:. Blessings, Pam
  2. Thank you for sharing these websites. Very helpful.
  3. Thanks for all your input I appreciate you all taking your time to share your thoughts with me.:D
  4. I would like to know the pro's/con's to this program for those of you who have used them. Also tell me what LA is good for a hands on learning that is a complete LA program. I do have Wordly Wise, AAS, HWOT, Writing Strands. Thanks in advance. Blessings, Pam
  5. Thank you all for your imputs. I am sooo confused on what to do. Maybe we didn't give R&S a good try. We did everything orally. My ds is in 6th but last year we did R&S 4 which I have now sold. I do still have R&S 5. I don't know what to do. I have heard of Winston Grammar and Grammar with a giggle(I think that is right). My son needs more one on one but I lose him quickly. We do AAS which he loves. He says he loves R&S but I think it is because he just listens and answers the questions orally we do the worksheets and quizzes but he didn't do well on the test for punctuation and captilization because we didn't get to it. Sometimes I wish it would just not be so hard and I hate to battle with him to do work. Any thoughts please share.
  6. Got mine yesterday. Looking forward to it.:grouphug:
  7. Thank you all for responding. I have HWOT and Writing Strands but we used R&S English and we both loved it, we done all oral with it, but I didn't feel like he was retaining it. So I think I am scraping it and useing EG. I just want something easy and to the point and he will retain. Any other thoughts would be appreciated. I tell you at first you think you got it all figured out and then you lose it again.lol:001_huh:
  8. Those of you who use or have used Easy Grammar please tell me your pro's and con's and if you think this is a complete curriculum.:grouphug:
  9. Am I glad to hear all this. I have spent way to much on all those programs I thought was the answer to my problems and just didn't work. I have spent hundreds of dollars in curriculum that hasn't worked for us and still not set on several subjects. :banghead::banghead:
  10. Thanks Jackie that was very informative. I am going to give it a try. Blessings, Pam
  11. Thanks for all of your imput it has been appreciated.:D
  12. Do you think it is advanced or true to grade level?
  13. I have seen and tried the sample lessons for TT5. Those of you how are using or have used, will you please tell me your pro's and con's and what kind of learner have you used it on. Thanks in advance.:)
  14. Thank you so much for sharing. It as always a blessing to be reminded of the reasons we do what we do. It gave me strength in a day I wasn't feeling so strong after a not so great day yesterday. Thanks again for the encouragment. I needed that.:D
  15. You are so welcome I hope it helps. I have a bible with 4 versions in it KJV, NIV, NAS, and NLT I find it hard myself to always understand the KJV so I let him answer from what he understands. I really like what he is learning as well as me. We started at 5 because it starts with Genesis. Again I think whatever you add even if it is a devotional putting God first will make your homeschool so much more succesful and there are tons of free devotions if you need any let me know I would be happy to share I love free. Have a blessed week and don't sweat the small stuff.

  16. We love using Mathisfun.com math trainer and Timez attack which are both free. Maybe this will help you as it has been a blessing for my ds11.:001_smile:
  17. We start each day with the boys devotional and then when have just started R&S bible and love it. You can change it to work for you. It is based off of KJV and hard for kids to understand sometimes. I have found that if I put God first in all I do the rest will be added and makes for a much better day. The last two years we just did devotions and talk about them and prayed for God's help. Do what ever works for your family but let God be first and you will be amazed how time works itself out and allows for everything else to flow. Blessings to you and your family and we will keep you in our prayers.
  18. Thanks for all the responses I do believe my ds learns better through hands on. He also has trouble retaining but I think it is because he just doesn't care. lol
  19. Do you still have the grammar ace program for sell and if so how much are you wanting for it. Thanks for responding.:D
  20. trying to bold title
  21. Thanks so much I was wondering about both programs if they had an answer key. I am really struggling with a LA program that fits.
  22. I need to know the pro's and con's to two different LA's. I need it to keep him interested and to remember and be enjoyable. They are Winston Grammar and Grammar Ace. I only want to use one or the other. Are they both complete curriculum?
  23. Is there an answer key for this that I am missing?
  24. Thank you all for posting I appreciate it. I would have responded sooner but for some reason I didn't get a reply showing I had responses. Thanks again.:001_smile:
