Moxie
It is that time again--Fall Knitting Season!! I've been tooling around Ravelry (as I do this time every year) and I'm thinking about joining one of the groups. How do you pick?? Any great groups for beginners?? MomtoCandJ
Wait... There's groups in Ravelry??? We should start a WTM one if there isn't one already... I crochet by the way :)
warneral
I am in a few if my fav yarn store and designers (Joji, Mr. yarn, baby cocktails, madeline tosh) Top down sweaters is nice - the easiest way to knit a sweater and try on as you go. chocolatechip
I did not even know there were groups on Ravelry. . . Cool!
bobbeym
I didn't know we could join groups in Ravalry. I crochet, but often wonder if I should learn to knit too. Most of the patterns I like seem to be knitted rather than crocheted.
Lizzie in Ma
There is a well trained knitters group. http://www.ravelry.com/groups/well-trained-knitters Currently I am knitting an adorable skirt for my youngest, oldest is knitting an afghan and youngest just completed her first circular knitting project, an adorable baby hat for a friend. bzymom
Should I start a WTM crochet group? I most often crochet at this point. Or maybe we can do a mixed group for knitters and crocheters?
MomtoCandJ
Yeah I don't have the coordination to knit, the two needles thing completely throws me :)

Closeacademy
I'm in too many groups (21). I spend most of my time in the ones dedicated to Korean Dramas. I'm also in a couple of Doctor Who ones, ones for local yarn shops, spinning, weaving, buying stuff, etc. There are a lot of great groups on there. Some are more active than others. Cinder
I'm in a bunch of groups including the WTM group. For those who didn't know there are a million groups for just about anything you can think of. Just search Groups by keywords and many will come up. My groups are in the general categories of podcasts, charities, geek stuff (HP, Doctor Who).
Desert Strawberry
There is a well trained knitters group. http://www.ravelry.com/groups/well-trained-knitters Currently I am knitting an adorable skirt for my youngest, oldest is knitting an afghan and youngest just completed her first circular knitting project, an adorable baby hat for a friend. I just joined. I had joined a bunch of groups years ago, but I made a new account and I had nothing. I knit and crochet.
Cinder
Should I start a WTM crochet group? I most often crochet at this point. Or maybe we can do a mixed group for knitters and crocheters? It would be great if you would just join the WTM knitters group. I think the group was started by a knitter but some of us do crochet as well. The group isn't very active so maybe if you all join up it will help with that. And we could always ask the mods to change the group name if that would help too. Firefly
I'm in too many groups as well, most of them nerdy: Big Damn Knitters, Whedoknitters, Hogwarts at Ravelry, Nerdy Knitters. But also the Well Trained Knitters group, Zimmermania (fans of Elizabeth Zimmerman) and a couple of Waldorf-mama type groups. I'm Firefly1013 over there. :)
