Singapore CWP going out of print -- xpost

Recommended Posts

There's a sticky at the Singapore Math forums about this.

Thanks. I just bought a couple years worth of Italic Handwriting workbooks and now I'll have to get my hands on some more of these before they're all gone. I really like using these as a supplement for our regular math, especially when we're traveling.

I'm using RS Math as our primary curriculum, but have been using the Singapore workbooks for my daughter to get some written practice. I had planned to switch completely to Singapore once she finished RS. Should I be looking for another math program? Does anyone know if CWP going out of print means they will stop printing all the other primary math materials as well?

Thanks!

Lisa

The Challenging Word problems books are a different publisher (EPB Pan Pacific) than the Primary Math books (Marshall Cavendish--which also publishes the My Pals are Here science books.).

I'd assume this means the two companies are not affiliated, and the decisions made by one should not affect the other (hopefully).

No MPH is not going out of print but it is coming out with a new edition. It is my understanding that the content is the same but it has been repackaged. I decided that I wanted to stick with the same edition. The added bonus was that I was able to get some of the books discounted.

No. All the other Primary Math materials are published by a different company than CWP. Here's a history at the SingaporeMath.com website. They're in it for the long haul.
