coffeefreak
I've been posting on the Frugal thread and I thought I'd post this link here too. This man is so cheap, he eats the food off of other people's plates that have left in restaurants! He also digs through garbage cans at gas stations! Greatest American Cheapskate So, how cheap (or frugal) is too cheap?
Garga
Too cheap is when it's unsanitary and you're risking contracting a disease.
Remudamom
He's definitely in the too cheap category.

jacqui in mo
Won't be cheap when he encounters medical bills from his unsanitary frugality.
Crissy
It's one thing to be cheap, but another thing altogether to be tacky and disgusting. I think this guy falls into the latter category.
coffeefreak
It's one thing to be cheap, but another thing altogether to be tacky and disgusting. I think this guy falls into the latter category. Especially since he admits he married his wife for her dental insurance:thumbdown:
Michelle T
I'm sorry, but eating stranger's left over food off their plates isn't frugal, it's gross. What if they had a big, oozing cold sore on their lip, or the flu, or some other contagious disease? And giving his wife flowers that were from a funeral? I just wouldn't personally feel much romance from flowers that were intended to honor a dead person. Plus, he married his wife for her dental insurance? He sounds like a real prize! What I wonder is why his wife married him. Unless he has some real shining qualities not indicated in the article, she must have some issues herself. Maybe if he got an actual job, he wouldn't feel the need to separate two-ply toilet paper into one. Or wash paper towels. Why not just use cloth towels to begin with? kewb
I believe he crosses over into what I would call penny wise and pound foolish.
