One of the stores near me is having a walk in vaccination clinic tomorrow evening.  I am planning on getting there about 45 min early.  Do you think I should get there earlier?  Have any of you gotten vaccinated this way?  It is for the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, which isn't my first choice, but I am desperate to be vaccinated and will happily take it.   But how early should I arrive?  I want to be reasonable but also want to be able to get it!

Edit:  I decided to call back and see if I could get some more info on amount of vaccines they had and how early people usually showed up.  Good thing I did.  Turns out I was given wrong info.  They only had 5 shots to give out and those were spoken for.  I was so upset I just started crying when telling the pharmacist what I was told.   The stress of trying to get this vaccine is overwhelming.  I am so angry that it is this hard to get vaccinated.  I am also tired of getting told "everyone will get a shot".  While that may be true, in the mean time it is like playing "Covid Roulette".  The virus is still potentially deadly (and life changing for the long haulers) and it is mutating.  The race to get vaccinated before getting Covid is real and frustrating.

Boy, I don’t know what it’s like where you are, but I can’t imagine that being early enough around here. Our tiers aren’t generally open, though. I would expect people to be lining up starting early in the morning if it was here.  Maybe even camping overnight 😳

I fear you are right.   No way am I able to get there in the morning.   This is all so stressful!

Ditto, do you have a FEMA site near you doing vaccinations?

No.  I wish!

I was actually able to schedule an appointment for next Wednesday.  It is at least an hour from my house, but I don't care.  It will be either Pfizer or Moderna.  I am cautiously relieved.  Until that vaccine is actually in my arm I don't think I will believe it.  You know?  As for getting this appointment, I happened to be on the right website at the right time and saw that appointments were available.  I signed up at warped speed!
