gardenmom5
I'm making a Chocolate Hazelnut Christmas Tree Stump (I've posted the recipe before) . . . I didn't get the bark (or syrup) done on Saturday, so I have to do the entire thing to day! . . . . I forgot to put the hazelnuts on the bark . . . . .it's been in the freezer for two hours . . . . . 😳 But I figured I could put the whole tray (of chocolate bark - I haven't made the cake yet.) in the oven for a few minutes - just long enough to soften it so I can throw down the hazelnuts (that had their own issues as you have to get the skin off - it's bitter.).  sigh. here's from a previous year. It's as deadly as it looks. It will easily serve 20 because it is so rich, you want very small pieces.  Edited December 24, 2019 by gardenmom5

catz
That looks amazing. I actually just put together a chocolate yule log with mascapone buttercream filling and chocolate ganache outer and a rolled sponge. I love the upright look of this though!
