That moment...

The last book I truly loved was "The Song of Achilles" by Madeline Miller. I hadn't absolutely lost myself in a new-to-me book for years before that, and I haven't in the several years since. I've enjoyed plenty of good books, but those magical moments have been rare for a long time. I blame parenthood, lol.

My dd lent me her copy of The Song of Achilles, with a big recommendation that I read it. I haven’t started it yet, though.

I picked up a couple of used books to take with me on the plane. After reading just the first paragraph of The Worthing Saga by Orson Scott Card, I knew I was in for a good ride and could not have cared less about the multiple delays in both my flight departures. It feels like food for a starving mind. I haven't finished yet but it's flying by and I'm sad that it will soon be done.
