Ds to tutorial and maybe swimming. ✅ Help my guys get out the door by mid-afternoon for a CS campout. ✅ Encourage dd as she works through a big pile of school work today. ✅ Write TY notes. Yesterday was great - ds18 was home for the day, then we took him back to school and went out to dinner with ds20 - but I got nothing done (other than the 3 loads of laundry ds18 brought home - I think it was every single piece of clothing he owns, plus towels). school w/dd (lots of math) office work (must remember to go online & get our Amex bill, since it hasn't shown up in the mail) barn chores (stalls are a mess) still need to sort through yesterday's mail unpack UPS boxes take vitamins (have been forgetting all week) menu plan - again...(I really need to make a monthlong plan, because I am sick of doing this every week) I am trying to convince dd and dh that we should go get Thai food for lunch - dd is up for it, but dh claims he is too busy stop at Natural Grocers dinner: ?? 5 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The kids are off to their various adventures today. ds3 is at a tournament, dd2 is at an official visit. dh left for work and I am in my lovely, quiet, mostly picked up house. Too many days of getting kids out the door AND doing school so me in. Does it ever end? Today: Coffee/reading/quiet time ✅ strip beds ✅ laundry running ✅ shower ✅ Spaghetti sauce x 2 in instant pot slow cooker ✅ bake brownies with little guys for later poetry tea time ✅ print dd13’s math test ✅ School with boys ✅ keep laundry going (decided to wait until after soccer to wash boys’ clothes) lunch✅ meatballs in spaghetti sauce✅ girls’ school stuff ✅ poetry tea time plus start our “poet tree” (forgot to do the poet-tree! 😑) ✅ Ds8 to soccer practice (this is a makeup because of all the rain!) (CANCELLED because of wet fields) home for supper✅ take spaghetti etc to my parents✅ grocery order/ ✅Aldi trip for stock up /Sam’s trip for stock up make beds work on (place?) SKL Posted April 5, 2019 Share Posted April 5, 2019 So far so good. I hope I'm not forgetting anything. Kid 1 up at 5:45 to study for science quiz. Kid 2 up. Drove kids to school for a science quiz review. Apparently teacher always gives a quiz review before school. My kids claim they told me this before .... I'm not so sure. Anyway.... Cleaned out car. It always amazes me how fast my kids trash it. (And yes, I do make them clear their stuff out when I drive.) Cleaned for the maids - downstairs, bathrooms, upstairs hallway. Started cleaning my room. Discussion about wills/trusts. Emails to teachers. Caught up on emails, social media, news. Finished 2 cups of coffee so far. To do: More cleaning, mainly in my room. Clean out the critter cage. Lots of work. Put TKD uniforms in the car & switch out kid's cheer shoes that are in there. Deal with the maids. Make a chiro appointment. Start a new box for hand-me-downs for nieces. Try to do some exercise and reading. (Kids have bowling [transported by bus] and TKD [driver will drive them from bowling to TKD]). Pick up kids from TKD. Dinner out - I think I will choose my favorite Guatemalan restaurant, which nobody else likes, but too bad. Watch some shows at home. Read-aloud? Human care done Pet care done Medical care done I never did get back to the dishwasher yesterday to run it so I need to finish filling it with what I can and run it.
