Good morning!

I couldn't find a Tackle thread this morning, so thought I would just go ahead and start one. Busy day here today!

  • school
  • dr. appt. at 10:30 (yearly checkup)
  • stop at grocery store for a few things
  • office work (beginning of the month paperwork, bills)
  • send a check to hay guy
  • text farrier
  • look into making an appt. with vet cardiologist
  • dinner: the tacos I still haven't made (kids were gone at dinner time both days, so I didn't cook all weekend)

I didn't either. I hope Jean is okay.

DH is off today and is currently sleeping.

School with DD

Playing some board games.

We've been up for hours. She already had cartoons and breakfast too.

It's Daddy Daughter Day!

They will be shopping for fireworks for the 4th.

Picking up her prizes for summer reading.

Lunch then the pool

While they are gone I will be cleaning and doing laundry. Maybe take a nap.

  • Take Ds to the pool, then pick him up from a friend's later in the afternoon.
  • Dd to/from a birthday party.
  • Work on school prep.
  • Ds to swim clinic tonight?  Nope, almost constant thunder here all day.
  • CSA pick up.
  • Figure out dinner  Fried chx or wings from Publix with whatever veggies I get.

Good morning! I know that I went to bed early last night, I hope Jean did the same! I have done a bunch of driving this morning already-ds2 to work, picking up dh and the dog at the pool, so dd2 could have the car for her second practice. No tennis this week, so I will try to get ds3 to do some chores.

  • get watering done- it is going to be a scorcher of a week!
  • laundry
  • daily chores
  • clear kitchen
  • try to get things done even though dh is home today
  • order fabric to finish the quilt for dd1- hopefully, get it to the quilter by September first.
  • figure out dinner
  • pick up ds2 at aikido (late)

Have a great day!

Morning, all!  I want to get a head start on laundry before the heat hits here.  Expected temps 112 and above.  Ugh.

To do:  Drive 2 1/2 hours to pick up dd at camp...this is not good.

laundry, laundry, laundry

pay bills

vacuum upstairs

fill donation bag

mail care package

I couldn't figure out why the forum didn't have me marked as having participated in this thread!  I just thought I had started one before bed but hadn't.  ?

Scurry around like a mad woman trying to clean a little bit before one of my brothers and his family arrive this morning.  (They called not too long before bed to ask if they could stop by so that was another reason I completely forgot to start this thread).

So far:

human care done including a shower so that I could look "company ready".  (Well, I'm in yoga pants and t-shirt so not fancy company ready.)

pet care done

medical care done

Now. . . time to put on some energetic music and start tidying up!

Just got back from my dr. appt., lunch, and errands. Dr. appt. went well - my weight and blood pressure are both down significantly from last year. Woo hoo, all those veggies I've been eating are paying off!

Now to tackle my messy kitchen, laundry pile, and desk.

Visitors are gone.  Now to mess the house up again!  (Not totally true but I do have to get some stuff that I quickly stored in the bedroom out.)  We had a nice visit and lunch together.  Having visitors is fun but also a bit of a hurdle for me.  I really like this brother, sister in law and grown nephew.  And I got to see pictures of their newest grandbaby.  Oh, and dh happened to be working from home today so he was able to join us for lunch, which was really really nice.

OK - first thing on my list:

reboot dishwasher a second time

Well no school prep or skit practice done here today because I spent the whole day driving.

But Dh worked at home, kids had fun with friends and got exercise, and we invited a neighbor to join us for a late supper. It takes a village to eat all the CSA veggies!

Time for cup of tea and my book. Reading Wendell Berry's Jayber Crow.
