Thanks for posting! The eggs I bought at Walmart were safe but they were 2.5 times the usual price. I buy the same ones every week so I noticed the price jump right away!

And..we ate almost a whole carton of them. Yesterday we had some, and today. And DH was up with diarrhea last night, and my stomach has been weird today. Lovely. No fever, so maybe it's not that. Blech.

Fun fact: my dad worked for a few years at the plant/farm that is issuing the recall. (He hasn't for the past 5 or so...but it's very interesting to see my tiny hometown on national news...too bad it's for this.)

I'm confused by this recall. My state is not on the list of impacted states and I talked to both customer service and a person stocking the eggs at the store we last purchased eggs.  Neither even knew about an egg recall.  HOWEVER, the bar code on our eggs matched the recall list so I returned them.

Would there be "safe" eggs with the same barcode?  The store still had them stocked on the shelves as of yesterday.

You have to also check the plant code and the lot . The ones effected are LOT CODES 011 through 102 from Plant Number P-1065
