Nemom
Looking for next year. Is there is anything out there that is already put together? Looking to save myself some time if something already available. TIA

Angie in VA
I googled and found this list of books and movies. Here are some more links, but they might be different arrangements of the same books. Sorry, I didn't take time to look that hard. https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/1720.Well_Written_Holocaust_Books https://www.goodreads.com/list/tag/holocaust https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/6066.Best_Holocaust_Novels ETA: I was surprised that Schindler's List wasn't included w/ the movies. I had one child refuse to watch it. Edited April 10, 2018 by Angie in VA Added a comment
madteaparty
There are lists, but when I do this with my own kids, a not very often read resource will be at the top of the list. In the (very thick) book Life and Fate, there is a letter by a mother to her adult son as she sees the writing on the wall. It’s a stunning read to me. And based on author’s mother own story. Someone posted just the letter online, let me go look. There is also a BBC audio version but I believe it’s dramatized therefore not exactly like the book. Anyway it’s not a long read: http://eng.world-war.ru/the-last-letter-from-mother-to-son/ Another resource I’ve saved is a book of essays called The Politics of Retribution in Europe.
cuckoomamma
Not a list, but I wanted to recommend including a book like The Auschwitz Escape. I had read many books about the Holocaust and never realized that there were some who escaped and the reception they received when they explained what they had experienced.
Sebastian (a lady)
One book that is probably too new for most lists is Underground in Berlin. It's the story of a woman who goes into hiding moving from place to place over the duration.
daijobu
This is nonfiction, but the book Why?: Explaining the Holocaust by Peter Hayes really helped me wrap my head around this.
