Kanin
Just wondering if this is a thing. It's not the flu, because I've had that with a temp of 102+. This is a runny nose, cough, temp of 99, feeling blah. Is it the common cold, or some other virus? Just feeling sorry for myself because I really needed this Thanksgiving break to be a break, not a sick/recovering time. :(
Ellie
:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: Yes, you could have a low-grade fever with a cold. These are the symptoms of influenza.
Lanny
If your normal temperature is 98.6 F. you probably have a very minor infection. Low grade temperature. Fever is a symptom of an infection. Sorry that you are under the weather. Take it easy and you will survive this and be like new in a couple of days. Kanin
Thanks - I'm just in a whiny mood! I realize this is a teensy tiny problem :)
SquirrellyMama
We usually call anything between a cold and the flu "some random virus". Kelly
maize
It could easily be the flu, researchers have discovered in the last decade or so that infection with influenza that presents mildly (more like a cold) is quite common. https://www.npr.org/sections/health-shots/2014/03/17/290878964/even-if-you-dont-have-symptoms-you-may-still-have-the-flu
