StaceyinLA
We are going to be staying in Tallahassee next Friday night on our way to WDW. I just booked a room, and am wondering if someone who lives in Tallahassee might be able to tell me a bit about the area we will be in. umsami
Not in Tallahassee, but visited a few weeks ago. It's much more hilly than the rest of Florida (good thing.) We went to a local ice cream shop where they make their own candy called Lofty Pursuits. It was really fun. You can buy the off candy as unicorn poop. :D
Xahm
It's a fairly tiny city. My grandparents live there, and they talk about different parts of town, but even as a kid I was confused how there was enough there to divide up. If you are worried about whether you will be close enough to something else in the city, the answer is, yes, you will.
purpleowl
I live in Tallahassee. What would you like to know? ETA: Feel free to PM me if you'd like. :) Edited November 14, 2017 by purpleowl
Lady Florida.
I haven't been to Tallahassee in years though I went to Florida State. Besides the two universities and it being the state capital, there isn't much there. There are a few decent history and natural history museums IIRC. For a Floridian the best part about Tallahassee is that it has hills. :)
KeriJ
We are. I'll answer anything I can.

Xahm
No offense meant at all. It is a nice place and my grandparents would hate it if it were larger. But most people who go there expect it to be larger because Florida is a fairly populous place, and it is the capital. Since my grandparents moved there from Helena, Montana, it probably felt like they were moving to the big city, though! It's not like other major cities, but I definitely wouldn't call it tiny. KeriJ
I'm not offended at all.😊 But I have lived a lot of places, and define "tiny" differently.
StaceyinLA
I’m sorry. Asked this and got tied up in remodel stuff and never came back. I’m gonna PM those of you who live there. Thanks!
