Hilltopmom
I'm just annoyed. I'm a special Ed teacher, but haven't worked in a decade. I want to go back next year & saw Wilson reading training being offered at our local Boces. I can't take it because I don't work for a district, Boces won't let me register & I asked our local district, hoping I could sign up through them as a homeschool teacher, but no. Bummer. I can pay for the class. They have extra openings. But you must work for a district in order to register. Boo :( so much for continuing Ed for teachers, if you aren't curently employed by a district. OneStepAtATime
That utterly stinks!!!!
Crimson Wife
Have you contacted Wilson directly to see if they'll let you register as self-pay? Fitchburg State University also offers graduate credit for Wilson training so you might have luck if you tell them you're a student.
kbutton
That stinks, but I think calling Wilson directly would be a good plan.
Kanin
Arg! How illogical. Let us know if calling Wilson is helpful. It would be awesome for you to say, "I already paid through Wilson!" Ha.
Mandamom
I was on the Wilson site yesterday. What about this? http://www.wilsonlanguage.com/professional-learning/individual-teacher-support/wrs-level-i-certification/ Edited July 18, 2017 by Mandamom
Kanin
They should at least let you do it if nobody else from the district registers.
