Janie Grace
I'm sure someone here has priced this out! I need colored plates, cups, napkins, etc. for a party. I'm planning for about 60 people. Where is the best place for this? Online somewhere? Party store? Somewhere else I'm not thinking of?

ksr5377
I agree, Dollar Tree for basic colors. The next best option in my area is Walmart.
Erica in OR
Do you have a local restaurant supply store? Several states in the west have Cash & Carry stores, and they have bulk paper goods. Not sure about their selection in colors, but I think I've seen vinyl tablecloths in colors there. Erica in OR
TeenagerMom
Definitely a Dollar Tree if you have one close. If you don't and can't find any comparable pricing locally, you could order online from their website.
fdrinca
If you don't live near a Dollar Tree, or if you're like me and just don't want to hope they have the colors and quantities I need, I recommend hollar.com. Free shipping on orders over $25. Many products are identical to the Dollar Tree brands, some are a little better. direct link to Hollar's basic party wear: https://www.hollar.com/t/party/color-theme
TechWife
Costco has party bundles in their store - plates, drink cups, napkins, plasticware.
heartlikealion
We just did this. Dh got some products at Kroger (10/$10 was the deal). I compared to the ones I got at a dollar store... I think it was Dollar General. Well, mine had more plates per pack. I can't speak of the quality as we didn't open the Kroger ones yet. Ours were good enough for what we needed, though. Mine were a pack of 20, at least for the large size. The dessert size I think had a few less. Many of the packs of dollar plates I think have quite a few less. I got the paper cups there, too. I deliberately did plain designs thinking I might need to write names on them with a sharpie. I no longer advocate getting plasticware at Dollar Tree. We did that last year and the forks/knives were horrible. The ones at Kroger looked good ($1/box) but we didn't open them as we ended up with finger food. There are large bundles of thick plasticware we sometimes buy at Sam's as well. Just look at them before you buy. If you only need them for say, cake, anything will probably do. rebbyribs
I'd try Smart n Final if you have them in your area. It's like a grocery store and restaurant supply store. They have a big selection of disposable tableware, including a variety of colors.
Janie Grace
Thank you! We do have a Dollar Tree and I will head there tomorrow. Thanks for the hollar website too -- that will be my plan B!

Dollar Tree meal size plates come in packs of 18. Dollar General come in packs of 20. If that makes any difference to you.
