Cindy in C-ville
Alright. I have tried "lesser" shoes, spent oodles on "lesser" shoes, but continue to be SO glad that I have spent money on the one pair of Dansko sandals and the one pair of Naot clogs that I own. With birthday money, I now want to replace the boots that kill my feet with ones that will be delightful to wear. What boots do you have that you LOVE! TIA! annabanana1992
What type of boots - dressy? Dansko makes boots, btw. Dansko world HQ are in the tiny town of West Grove, PA where there is a huge outlet! I was just there yesterday. Closed back clogs are $67. West Grove is in South Eastern PA just over the Delaware line..

Tammyla
If you find a comfy pair of boots let us know. I'm tired of wasting money and having sore feet.
Cindy in C-ville
One of our stores is having a Dansko Trunk Sale this afternoon. I will probably go check it out and then let you know if I get anything.
catalinakel
Check out Merrells. They make really comfy shoes along the lines of the others you listed.
Crissy
I love my Danskos! Hands down best for my tired old feet. I have heard similar things from a number of friends. I'm in the market for a pair of good winter shoes. I should look at Danskos.
TraceyS/FL
Keens for me.... I covet a pair of Dansko CLogs - but i can feel this "spot" in them every time i put a pair on. I showed the dude where it was on the cut away model they had in one store. He thought i was nuts i could feel it. It's why i can't even slip a pair of Crocs on, those nubs. Happy show shopping - dang, now i want the clogs again.... :tongue_smilie:
Natalieclare
Ooo--I need new boots, too. Please let me know if you find a perfectly comfortable pair. I spent some money this summer on buying a couple of pairs of Keen shoes. Wow, they are great. I wonder if they make any boots....off to google now... Tee hee- the poster above and I must have been posting at the same time.... I wanted to add that I will also look into Born. My Born sandals from a few years ago have been very comfy. I have to say though, that my sandal size and my "shoe" size might not be the same.

Is it possible to find a snappy boot that does no harm?
happygrrl
I have Born boots in black and brown. They feel a-ma-zing! (I have really bad feet). Plus, they don't look like a 'comfort' boot, KWIM? They look stylish. I get compliments constantly. They are $$, but worth every penny. I have never worn any Born shoes or boots out (I have at least 6 pair now in sandals flats, heels and boots) and they hold up fashion wise season to season. Wow! Can you tell I love Borns???:D
Cindy in C-ville
Okay, Ladies. These danskos are the ones I got. http://www.dansko.com/html/detail.aspx?type=2&shoe=Tiffany. I'm wearing them around the house for the next week and if I don't like them, I can take them back. They were a pretty penny - $180, but they're a birthday present. Honestly, if they continue to be as comfortable as they are now, they will SAVE me money in the longhaul b/c I'll stop spending $50, $75, etc. in search of the perfect boot. So, let me know what you think!

Cindy in C-ville
Ha! That's funny! I do admit that as I was leaving the store, I was looking at the various colors/styles/etc. The Mary Janes are REALLY cute. However, with the hefty price tag, I'll have to refrain! Storm Bay
What kind of boots? Snow boots, hiking boots, winter boots, high boots? For just "boots" that are kind of like high rise shoes, I have a pair of Birkenstock boots that don't make my feet look super wide. Many people have only seen sandals, but Birkenstock makes shoes & these boots, too. For winter boots, I have a pair with thinsulate from LL Bean or somewhere like that. For rainboots, I have a lovely ;) pair of green wellies. I don't do high dress boots--I'm done with 1970s type fashions as I had enough of them in the 1970s. I wear only Birkenstocks and Keen sandals (but only CERTAIN Keens--the sneakers I bought of theirs have no support). There is a made in USA shoe place that is supposed to have comfort & good support, but I haven't shopped there yet. There's a link to them on the Still Made in USA blog. I had to try on multiple pairs of the keen tennis shoes last year. The ones i thought i'd want - didn't work for me at all. I"ll be seat until at least next year with the ones i have - i really only wear them in "winter". My "orange" (paprika) shoes ( http://www.zappos.com/n/p/p/7202629/c/21153.html ) Have more support in them, i just didn't want to wear them out in the yard and such. They are my dressy winter shoes. Gee, someday i'll get back on the correct way of eating, have nice clothes besides shorts/jeans & t-shirts and want nice shoes again. Right now - the thought of dressing up at this weight makes my wanna..... well, not buy shoes!

This are my recent splurge: http://www.dansko.com/flash_fw08.aspx#detail,Narrow%20Pro,Stapled%20Clog,2 I also have sandals and the Narrow Pro in oiled black. Don't forget, Sanita is the same as Dansko since the patent ran out.
