bethben
My 11 year old son wants to purchase a kindle. I am wanting to load it up with free Kindle books. I can do a lot of classics and G.A. Henty books, but I'm pretty sure there are other authors I may be missing. Any suggestions?
73349
If he likes biographies and autobiographies, there are some of those for free also--I've seen (but not read) Theodore Roosevelt, Nikola Tesla, Ben Franklin (okay I read that one in print a long time ago), Mozart, and George Washington. Peaceful Isle
Follow homeschool library on Facebook. They are constantly posting free books for kids that Amazon has. Some are limited time sales. I've got some fun reads for the kids that way.
Dmmetler
For modern stuff (mostly twaddle, but sometimes good) subscribe to BookBub and tick the middle grades box. They'll send an email of free and cheap books available daily. I find a lot of light reads for me, but every now there are some good ones for DD, too. Kareni
This Amazon link might be of interest. Make sure you click on Top 100 Free. On the left hand side of the page, you can see different topics. If you click on one of those, you may see further subdivisions. There is much of little interest, but there are also some good choices. Regards, Kareni
cintinative
My son really loves books by Edith Nesbit. I think they are free for Kindle or at least free downloads from Archive.org or Gutenberg. Edited January 13, 2016 by cintinative
