ScoutTN
The Center for Lit has literature classes to which you can add the writing element. I got an email form them about mid-year registration earlier this week.

blessed3x
Brave Writer has 4-6 week classes that start year-round. I can recommend these classes. My writing reluctant son enjoyed them, was willing to sign up for the 2nd class and enjoyed it. :-)

My writing reluctant son enjoyed them, was willing to sign up for the 2nd class and enjoyed it. :-) Since Brave Writer classes are only about 6 weeks, does that mean that we should sign up for another 6 weeks for the same class in order to get a semester's worth of lessons? Or once the 6 weeks are over for something like Expository Writing, is it time to move on to a different level class?

You can do a 6 week class such as Expository Writing followed by a different Brave Writer class such as a literary class or poetry or MLA research essay. Alternatively you can do something on your own. I've aimed for about 2 Brave Writer classes per year and then I do my own thing, but everyone is different.

nurse_kris
Are any of these classes "live" with video interaction? I thought home2teach was, but it is just thru a chat box I understand?

Yes, that's right--just a chat box for Home2Teach. Sorry I don't have enough experience with online classes to be able to recommend one with video.
