Dmmetler
Christmas has been a stressful and often depressing time for me for years. Even before losing a baby (getting sick on Christmas Eve, finally losing the baby Jan 1), as a school music specialist it was more the time of year that someone was going to be mad at me no matter what I did and constant stress. So usually, as soon as decorations go up and music starts, I start gritting my teeth and getting mopy. Except that this year, I'm not. I don't know if it's because this has been a really busy fall, and now stuff is starting to wind up for the semester, or if it's because I'm growing up, but I'm actually really having fun planning and buying gifts. DD and I built/decorated a cookie house today (I can't do gingerbread. But we found a chocolate one). And I'm loving the music, the lights, and so on. I don't know why this year is different, but I like feeling like this instead of dreading the holiday!

UCF612
Yay! I lost a baby before Christmas a few years ago, still makes me sad. But I just adore Christmas. I'm really looking forward to it this year.
