Catherine
For me, they are: Goodnight Moon, The Runaway Bunny, The Cat in the Hat, Marvin K. Mooney Will You Please Go Now, and Freight Train. There's also a very sweet Amish ABC book called The Folks in the Valley that I can recite: Alarms clocks ring, It's almost dawn. The folks in the valley Stretch and yawn. Bacon fries, When they're out of bed. Cows get milked in the milking shed. Anybody else?

Michele B
When dd7 was 2 1/2 or three, she hurt her elbow (flinging herself away from my husband, who was holding her hand, at the altar rail on a sunday morning ;)). While we were waiting forever, she wanted to hear Madeline over and over again. I was so glad I knew it by heart! Of course I mixed the different episodes up a bit, but she was soothed! "Thank the lord you are well!"
Alphabetika
I used to know The Pokey Little Puppy by heart. When my now 14 yo dd was a baby, she loved that book so much that even before she could walk she'd crawl around after us, pushing it in front of her on the floor, with an expectant look on her face. Roly-poly, tumble-bumble, pell mell.....

If You Give a Mouse a Cookie Clifford's First Halloween Snowmen at Night Horton Hears a Who How the Grinch Stole Christmas The Bears' Christmas, and The Big Honey Hunt -Robin
Rosie_0801
Lucky the Duckling loves to swim. All the other ducklings follow him. But when the big ducks go out to play, Lucky Duckling goes the other way! I'm looking forward to graduating from board books. I was in the library one day and passed a woman whinging at her kiddie about the quantity and frequency of Mr Men books. I pointed out that it could be worse, it could be Dr Seuss! She looked up, nodded and stopped complaining :) The dreaded Dr Seuss! Tell me there's a parent out there who likes them? :) Rosie
