Amy in NH
Have I missed a discussion or other note about this? Someone has posted a threat to a Philadelphia-area "university" for tomorrow at 2pm EST. FBI and ATF are on alert. My college student in Philly doesn't have classes at that time, but it makes me worry for everyone else.
Catwoman
Oh no. :( I hope it turns out to be a hoax.
school17777
My dd is in that area and is worried. Her classes haven't been cancelled and she needs to go to the class at 2pm. Other classmates went home this evening.
mamiof5
Oh no! Just praying it's a sick joke. Praying that nothing happens!
G5052
Not taking this lightly of course, but I checked both college emails, and both campuses that I work for are "on alert as well." I'm further south. I think they're uneasy about copycat events.
marbel
Yes, we received that alert. My kid has a class today. Yep, I'm nervous.
creekland
:grouphug: to all. My youngest is in the southeast, but likely still has a class today at 2pm as I haven't heard otherwise. Meanwhile, it's nice having middle here with us on his fall break. One would expect/wish/hope that college students would be above this sort of thing - both the actual action and copycatting it. There are many times I want my ideal world to exist rather than the real world. (sigh)
