Debbi in Texas
I want to start being a little more "green". Which home made products work well? Not so well? Thanks!! Debbi
Joyofsixreboot
I just keep vinegar and water Ina spray bottle for most everything. I make my own laundry spray with peroxide, rubbing alcohol and Dawn soap.
PeachyDoodle
I make an all-purpose cleaner of white vinegar and dish soap to use for virtually everything, from kitchen counters to the bathtub. I like that the kids can use it without any worries about chemicals.
UmMusa
Boil 2 cups water Add 1 tsp Borax and 1/4 cup vinegar. Stir and let cool. Pour into spray bottle. Add 30 drops essential oil of liking (tea tree, peppermint, lavender, lemon, orange) I use this on countertops, windows, and anything else. It's been working for me for a couple of years now in place of 409 or other store bought cleaner.

MomtoCandJ
Vinegar and water is my go to :) I like it since both girls can help and I don't need to worry about toxicity.

elegantlion
Vinegar and water mostly. I do keep a bleach scrubbing cleanser around. I am very sensitive to chemical odors and try to be careful what I use.
Truscifi
We also use vinegar and water for most cleaning. We make our own laundry detergent as well.
umsami
I use Dr. Bronner's soap (peppermint) in a spray bottle. Usually a few tablespoon of soap and a whole bunch of water. I give it to the kids to clean their bathroom. I'll do something similar with vinegar as an all purpose. For floors, I've used both of the above and also vinegar, water, and some EOs.
