Χάων
I am almost frozen with indecision. So many books (except Harry Potter) and I just cannot decide. I am looking at books for me to listen to while I workout.
PrincessMommy
I can tell you what I've listened to via Audible that I've enjoyed. Golem and the Jinni by Helene Wrecker Dangerous Animals Club - by Tobolowsky - esp. good for workouts because each "chapter" can be a bit stand-alone. The Ocean at the End of the Lane by Gaiman
katilac
I just finished "Make It Stick: The Science of Successful Learning" and thought it was really good. They repeat the important information in different chapters (expanding on it and approaching it in various ways), which was great for the type of book I would usually take notes on.
VeganCupcake
I have a credit, too, so I need to watch this thread!
lailasmum
Have you listened to Bossypants by Tina Fey? I really enjoyed that.
Mothersweets
Lately I have been loving the Her Royal Spyness series by Rhys Bowen. The reader, Kathryn Kellgren, is excellent!
Lady Florida.
I enjoyed Bossypants and surprisingly also liked Stories I Only Tell My Friends, Rob Lowe's autobiography. Ponyboy (or his ghost writer if he had one) made his life sound pretty interesting. Both Fey and Lowe do a good job at narrating too. I had 2 credits I needed to use before I cancelled my subscription so I got Wolf Hall, and the second book Bring up the Bodies. I'm not sure how good those would be for working out though. Debbi in Texas
We enjoy Bill Bryson's books. He reads them himself and does a great job. I have 10 credits right now, but I am currently listening to In the Company of Others by Jan Karon on CD. It is great also.
NavyMommy
I really have liked the Outlander books in audio format. They're really long too which I like because it motivates me to keep working out.
aug17girl
I'm listening to Packing for Mars by Mary Roach right now. It is very entertaining and quirky. Would be great if you like science and non-fiction with a dose of humour.
