Recipes for fruit salad to make ahead

I am taking a fruit salad to church on Sunday and would like to be able to make it Saturday night.  I want to use fresh fruit and not have it turn brown by Sunday lunch time.  Anybody have something tried and true that they really like.  I am not looking for something like ambrosia salad, just fruit and a light dressing to mix it with.

Fruit salad at our house is just fruit. If we make it ahead we avoid bananas, apples, etc. stick with melons and berries, kiwi, and let it marinade overnight. I have been asked what the dressing is. 😀

We have used some honey for a light dressing. I have also read you can use a box of dry vanilla pudding sprinkled over the fruit.

It costs an arm and a leg, but my go-to for fruit salad is pineapples (cubed up), blueberries, strawberries, and sometimes raspberries. I bring them in separate tupperwares then throw them in the bowl together. I don't put any sauce on it because it's one of the few things at some gatherings that people with dietary requirements/allergies can eat.

I would do all the prep work the night before--washing and cutting up--using fruits that won't brown. Bag them up separately and then it will be quick to combine them in the morning. Melons, grapes, strawberries, blueberries, and pineapple all would work well for your situation.

It doesn't have to have a sauce, I just want something easy that I can do the night before.  I hadn't thought about doing something like cutting up bananas the morning of and adding them.

I would avoid bananas completely. They tend to go brown and mushy too quickly.
