Suzanne in ABQ
Seeing Robin Williams at first was sorta sad, which I expected. But toward the end, when he said, "It's okay. It's time," I lost it. It was like he was sending a message, like he knew what he was going to do (IRL), and he wanted everyone to know it was the right thing. I just started crying.
Chelli
Seeing Robin Williams at first was sorta sad, which I expected. But toward the end, when he said, "It's okay. It's time," I lost it. It was like he was sending a message, like he knew what he was going to do (IRL), and he wanted everyone to know it was the right thing. I just started crying. I had the EXACT same reaction in the theater, but a lot of people did. I heard most of the adults sniffling at that part as well and I'm sure we were all thinking the same thing. Such a great loss of amazing talent.

milovany
I watched Dead Poets Society with my two older teen daughters last weekend and I felt sad all over again. That's my favorite movie that he acted in and watching it now, watching the scene where he showed the boys pictures of the students from days gone by and talked about them being worm food, and then the suicide scene and his reaction to that, well it was just sad. LostSurprise
The same thing happened to me, especially watching him struggle with his hands and the ending. I am glad they didn't try to capitalize on it though.
Tsuga
:( I would have too. What a loss. I earnestly hope he is at peace.
readwithem
There was an audible moan in the theatre when we saw it at a screening a few months ago. I read that the producer cut a few of RW's lines for the final version, because they were just too haunting in foreshadowing his death.
