JFSinIL
https://acorn.tv/help/faq Looks great - and I can watch the latest Foyle's War! Anyone here use it?
PrincessMommy
I didn't know they had their own channel. We've watched their videos and I used to get their catalog. Neat!
Lady Florida.
We love it. Dh and I watch a lot of British mysteries and Acorn has plenty of those. We initially signed up for the 30 day free trial so we could watch Season 7 of Murdoch Mysteries (Canadian, not British) but ended up keeping it when we realized we could also get a few more seasons of Midsomer Murders. We keep finding series to watch after finishing one. It's only $5 a month and we've been able to get more than our money's worth. If we ever feel like we're not watching $5 a month worth of shows, we'll cancel but I don't see that happening anytime soon. BTW, we have a Roku and watch on the Acorn app on our tv. Catwoman
Thank you for mentioning this -- I had never heard of it, but I'm going to check it out because it sounds great! :hurray:
LaxMom
Yep. It's awesome. It's the only reason we keep our Roku. When I originally signed up, it was at $2.95/month for some period of time. $4.95 is totally worth it to me for more current Foyle, Midsomer, and Murdoch. Jilly
We have it and use it all the time. Midsomer Murders, Foyle's War, Miranda, and A Place to Call Home are current favorites.
Alessandra
I see it on my Netflix screen, but have never subscribed. How does it work? Do you get new series as they are airing, or a bit after? Is it just BBC or other British channels? I am looking for Jim al-khalili's series on Quantum physics, which I believe is a current series. amyco
We used it for the free trial to watch the recent Poirot episodes but couldn't find anything else interesting that we hadn't already seen. Now with the new Foyle being on there...we might have to sign up and pay for a month!
