Runningmom80
My DS received a subscription to this magazine for Christmas. We are only 2 issues in, but he's really enjoying it. I just thought I'd pass it along. http://www.musemagkids.com/

Black-eyed Suzan
My son loves Ask by the same publisher. :) Muse looks great, too! We may have to try it. Thanks!

SunnyDays
Glad he likes it!! My son subscribes to both Muse and Odyssey. He also used to read a lot of Cobblestone, which covers American history, from the library. And when he was much younger he was famous among the librarians for carefully sorting through the issues of Ask and Appleseeds to carefully select which ones he would check out, LOL. They're really great publications!!
LTBernard
We haven't really started any magazine except for Highlights which my kids are not really into except for the hidden picture part. When would you recommend children start these magazines? I am not sure if I am looking for an age range or maybe when they are able to understand_____________. Or when they start showing interest in _______________.
LaughingCat
Cricket has different magazines for many age levels - for example, according to their website Ask is for 6-9 yo's and Muse is for 9-14 yo's. Our library system carries almost all the Cricket magazines - so it would be worth looking to see if your library system had them.
SeaConquest
I just purchased 4 of them (ETA: I ordered Odyssey, Muse, Ask, and Dig) in print version for $9.95/year. Use the coupon code DFM1001. Hope that helps.

mathnerd
We already purchase Odyssey and Ask. I plan to purchase Muse and Dig for DS's birthday in Spring. Does any one on this thread get Cricket magazine? If so, would you mind sharing your opinion? Thanks.
Kareni
My daughter received first Ladybug then Spider then Cricket. She loved them all. Regards, Kareni
daijobu
My favorite section is the Dear Muse Reader on page 3. Last month's One-Ingredient Recipes had me falling out of my chair. Une Carotte Orange Ingredients: a carrot Optional equipment: vegetable peeler Directions: Wash carrot. Optional: Using the vegetable peeler, carefully scrape off outer skin. Feel unsure about whether you have just removed the layer with all the vitamins. Vow to look that up. Enjoy!
