HappyGrace
I need to go extremely low fat for a little while for medical reasons, so I need a GREAT tasting salad dressing with little or no fat, please! All-natural, please (ie-no preservatives, colorings, etc.) Thank you so much! Gourmet flavors are fine-just looking for yummy! :)
mamaraby
This is one of my favorites - http://theveganroad.com/recipes/engine-2-diet-oil-free-dressing/ Engine 2 has some good ones as does the "Prevent and Reverse Heart Disease Cookbook." Happy Herbivore and McDougall would be two other good places to look. :0) ETA- Yes, you're going to have to make your own. There really isn't anything like that out in the store (I've looked). LucyStoner
I think you will need to make your own. Commercially prepared dressings, especially without fat, will have a lot of preservatives, corn syrup and artificial flavorings and colors. http://happyherbivore.com/2013/06/how-to-make-oil-free-fat-free-vegan-salad-dressing/
zoobie
I normally don't care for bottled salad dressings. Trader Joe's sesame spy ginger vinaigrette isn't bad, and it's fat free. I was surprised. They have a few low- and reduced-fat dressings. You could try and return if you don't like them. Getting a homemade dressing really emulsified will help with the mouth feel. Use a blender or stick blender. Find a good, mild Dijon, low fat Greek yogurt, a piece of avocado, etc. to throw in and cut the acidity. My phone is being crazy, but there's a scratch ranch mix from the blog Gimme Some Oven that's good. You could use low fat or fat free buttermilk and yogurt to mix it. Elisabet1
I make my own Balsamic Vinegrette. My husband tries to buy it pre made, but I do not care for the pre made stuff.
MiMi 4under3
2 parts balsamic vinegar, 1 part maple syrup!
StephanieZ
Guacamole can be a really tasty dressing. I've taken leftover guacamole and added some extra vinegar (and oil, but you can leave that out). Mmmm. Avocado's have plenty of fat, though, so if that sort of fat is still bad for you, then that's out.
