saraha
I am looking for some living books for biology. Anything would be great. Suggestions for biographies would be really helpful too. Thanks
Angie in VA
You could cherry pick from Guest Hollow biology.http://www.guesthollow.com/homeschool/science/biology/biology_books.html Scroll down. Keep going. Ds really liked The House of the Scorpion and its sequel. He also enjoyed the Richard Preston books. Funny, The Hot Zone was released the year ds was born, but it is pretty relevant right now! I liked The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks (warning: language and graphic content regarding an abusive situation!) and would never have read most of the books on GH's list on my own. GH is Christian, but there is much good to glean from her book list for those wanting a secular course.
