Dmmetler
http://www.zoomed.com/cm/company-information/TurtleWeek2014.html I just sent for one. I don't know if they'll accept homeschool requests, but my DD LOVES the idea of doing a turtle conservation activity to piggyback on the frog one she did in April (which won't happen for Turtle week)-I thought I'd share for others who might have kids who want to learn about turtles. foxbridgeacademy
THX! You should post this on the k-8 board, there are probably a lot of people who'd love it.
Kerileanne99
Oh wow! That is gorgeous, my dd is going to love it. We are actually going to be in Hawaii that week, where she apparently will get to spend quite a bit of time with turtles--they are one of her favorite creatures:) Thanks for the heads up, such a great program. Dmmetler
We got ours today-it's a BIG box. I'm wondering where we're going to find room for all the posters, since DD is thrilled with them. And the turtle class for our HS group is already on the calendar :).

Dmmetler
Fantastic! My daughter's current goal is to become a herpetologist, so she'll love this! My 9 yr old is a would-be herpetologist as well ;). Snakes, frogs, and turtles, oh, my!
Spryte
Oooooh, we sent for this but haven't received it yet! Now I'm going to stalk the mailman. We have 3 turtles. DS is going to *love* this. :)
Guest submarines
Okay, I read it as "conversation" and was really interested for like 30 seconds.
Dmmetler
Actually, there's quite a lot of communication that goes into reptile behavior. DD's field bio mentor is an animal behaviorist (with a focus on herpetology), and I'm amazed at what he can glean from pretty minor motions. We did one field trip where we spent a big part of the day sitting and watching turtles bob their heads at each other. Turtles are pretty subtle. Ewe Mama
Thanks for posting this. I just requested a kit. Alvin, the herpetologist, would be in heaven if we could do this!
