Tammi K
This afternoon, I grabbed a roast out of the freezer, thawed it enough to toss it in a dutch oven and brown it. I added some carrots, celery, and onions, seasoned it and tossed in a cup of water. I put it in the oven thinking that even if it didn't cook all the way through, it was a beef roast so 'rare' would be fine. I just checked on it and realized it isn't a beef roast but a pork roast. You know how the 'experts' say you should label your meat when you bag it to freeze- yeah. You should. :tongue_smilie: Beef and pork really do look alike when they are frozen. So, now I have family coming home for dinner in half an hour and the roast thawed but way to cold inside to be safe. I suppose I can shave slices off the outside? Hmmmm. Any ideas? Word Nerd
Let the roast finish cooking and eat it tomorrow. Move on to Plan B for dinner.
