Jennifer3141
Lady bugs are under the protection of my dd. Where they should be! That's where ours are too. :D But my kids also like to say, "Bye Bye!" when something gets flushed too. We've had many earwig funerals at sea this summer. genie
Why do I do this? As if the whole roach thread wasn't bad enough, and it made me woozy, and yet I kept looking between breaks outside for fresh air. Now a spider thread. I apparently have a morbid fascination with grossing myself out.
klmama
If you do go with a spray, be sure to get a spray that actually works for brown recluses! Some won't be as effective. Also, get some sticky spider traps to put along the baseboards behind the beds, toilets, etc. Sprays don't always kill them, but when they come out to hunt they get stuck in the traps and die. shell in SC
Yes, make sure the spray is made to kill the spider. Around here, I spray them and they like to "play dead", I come back later and they're gone. Grrr
Crissy
It got smooshed, then I had to look it up, cause it looked ugly! Lady bugs are under the protection of my dd. Ack, Heather! You got close enough to smoosh it? Then you got closer to get a good look at it?! :svengo:

percytruffle
You have got to be kiddin'!:001_huh: That's not good... It's true. I sprayed a big black hairy arachnid in my bathroom once with Tilex mildew remover with bleach. That sucker held it's breath (they can do this for up to 72 hours, straight) and walked right away. A shoe tends to work best in these situations...:001_huh:

Yep, this has worked for us. We still see them crawling on the walls sometimes, but the traps are getting them too! We were seeing about 1-2 every few days, and now it's more like 1 every few weeks! But, we are finding them in the traps!
