If you do go with a spray, be sure to get a spray that actually works for brown recluses! Some won't be as effective. Also, get some sticky spider traps to put along the baseboards behind the beds, toilets, etc. Sprays don't always kill them, but when they come out to hunt they get stuck in the traps and die.

That's not good...

 

It's true. I sprayed a big black hairy arachnid in my bathroom once with Tilex mildew remover with bleach. That sucker held it's breath (they can do this for up to 72 hours, straight) and walked right away. A shoe tends to work best in these situations...:001_huh:

Yep, this has worked for us. We still see them crawling on the walls sometimes, but the traps are getting them too! We were seeing about 1-2 every few days, and now it's more like 1 every few weeks! But, we are finding them in the traps!
