unsinkable
The notebook paper this year was a smaller size too. It's been a few years for that around here.
marbel
Not that you asked but: http://homecooking.about.com/library/archive/blhelp7.htm I have recipes like that, too. Plus ones that call for a cube of oleo. Hey, that is a nifty chart and I'm glad you posted it. If nothing else it brings back memories! Thanks! KrissiK
I thought I was getting a great deal on Farmer John brand bacon at Walmart. Until I got home and realized I was buying 12 ounces and not 16 oz. They're back to selling bacon by the lb. but it's only slightly cheaper than the other grocery stores. Guest
How annoying! I remember when a half-gallon of ice cream was actually a half-gallon. Uh-huh! There is a local creamery here, that does sell true half-gallons. It is awesome, but no-joke expensive.
Jackie in NE
I use Baker's Chocolate for lots of recipes. When I bought a pack last week, I couldn't believe it!! Why is no-one calling this exactly what it is???? ...INFLATION. It's been happening everywhere. When you have to spend the same amount for less product, it's the same as a price increase. It's inflation. It is due to the Federal Reserve Stimulus policy that the current administration has been using to try and get us out of the recession. You just cannot pump 85 billion dollars per month into the economy without causing inflation. I fear that this is just the beginning. Hang on tight! Or it's due to the cocoa shortage. http://www.nbcnews.com/business/warning-cocoa-shortage-rising-prices-threaten-chocolate-bars-8C11418435
