jenbrdsly
Does anyone have any examples from the animal kingdom of siblings that fight so much that they actually eat each other? I think praying mantises do this (according to Click magazine), but am curious if there are other examples out there. Err...um... besides the two animals in the backseat of my car. ;)
Lara in Colo
I found this: http://news.discovery.com/animals/sharks/why-shark-exmbryos-eat-each-other-130501.htm

Coincidentally, I also have two sharks swimming in my backseat, although both of them have the same paternity.

Mom in High Heels
I was afraid to open this thread............ glad it wasn't what I was expecting! Me too! I had to read the title several times before deciding to open it. Clearly I had to find out what was going on.

Guest
We don't really fight, either. I just wanted to post.
bettyandbob
My older two dc used to come close. Then they began to team up and tried to eat me. Now they are actually friendly to each other. I don't know about nonhuman siblings.

linders
I came out of the store a couple days ago to find my DC in the car arguing. "He bit me!" yelled DS13. "Because he wouldn't stop saying mean things about my friend!" returned DS10. Seriously, boys? So, does that count as sibs eating each other? mom2bee
I was a biter when I was little--does that count? I know that sharks eat one another prior to birth. I think that some wasps do. For Tasmanian Devils the mother has only four nipples yet gives birth to 30+ babies that are roughly size of a grain of rice. They crawl up her belly and after the fastest four latch on to a nipple, she eats the others up.
