kiwik
I bought a kindle e-book from yesterdays classics. I downloaded it on my pc and dragged it onto my kindle. It says it is there but it doesn't show up on the kindle. Any ideas?
dsmith
When I transfer books from the Heritage History cds to my Kindle Fire, they show up in Docs. Maybe they are there?
Saddlemomma
I bought all 225 yc books during that great sale they had. When I download a book to my Kindle Fire HD from my pc, the book appears on my Kindle's carousel, but not on the device or in the cloud. I access from my carousel. Hope this helps. kiwik
Bumping because I still can't work it out. So far the exercise has led to me having to redo all my collections and reload heaps of stuff back from cloud which takes about 15 minutes a book because I can only use the intermittent 2G connection. Eta. I have just a kindle. When I plug it into the pc it shows up under docs but that doesn't show on my device.
Mergath
I've had that happen with various ebooks, always ones that I downloaded from random, non-Amazon websites. Is it a .mobi file?
kiwik
No it says it is kindle format. I have it saved on my desktop and I have sent a message to their help desk. I will just wait until they get back to me. I deliberately chose a cheap book.
QueenCat
Some formats have to be downloaded to the Kindle using wifi rather than the 3G.
Word Nerd
If you attach the ebook to an email and send it to your free Kindle email address, you can use Whispersync to get it on your device as you would any other Kindle book. http://www.amazon.com/gp/sendtokindle/email I've never had to use my computer to add ebooks.
