Chris in VA
I would like to start a smash book kind of journal and maybe make one when we are in Jerusalem. Does anyone have an example to post or any tips? I have seen some neat ones on interest but would love to see more.
Annie G
Ohmygosh. I haven't ever seen these but I really want to do this when I go to Rome this summer. I see supplies online at Amazon...but where can I buy them in person? I need to see things before I know what I want to buy. This looks like a fabulous way to document a trip! Thanks so much for the idea!
plansrme
The homeschooling guest blogger at thepioneerwoman.com just did a column on smash books. Terri
OrdinaryTime
I have seen the supplies at Target and craft stores like AC Moore.
TammyinTN
I didn't know what it was until I looked it up...now....I'm in love. I'm going to order several for gifts for my girls and one for me.
Heather in Neverland
Never heard of it before this thread so I looked it up and even watched a video on youtube. I'm not sure I get it. Is it like a physical version of Pinterest? When I was a little girl, my friends and I would cut out pictures from the jcpenney catalog, usually of furniture or wedding dresses, and glue them on paper. It reminds me of that. CandaceC
A smash book can really be anything...a journal, a scrapbook, etc. I have given them to my girls as their first scrapbooks - they have put pictures in them, birthday cards, notes, other papers, written things in it. I love them!!
Word Nerd
This is the only kind of scrapbooking I've ever done, but I never knew there was a name for it until recently. I like that there aren't any formal rules for page composition or page layout, and you can be as messy, artistic, and creative as you like. I follow a couple of boards on Pinterest about smashbooks and altered journals, and there are some cool ideas.
