MamaAkins Posted December 26, 2012 Share Posted December 26, 2012 Sorry...I refuse to tackle Wednesday! We are enjoying a lazy post-holiday day. The weather is atrocious here today---heavy, heavy rain and winds, with a chance for tornadoes this afternoon. I slept in this morning--until 10:30am! I haven't done that in YEARS! I guess I was more tired than I realized! It's now 11:30am and I just finished breakfast (eggs, bacon, and grits courtesy of my dh). The whole family is still in our pj's. The kids are playing one of the Wii games they received, and alternating turns on their new ipad! It is entirely possible that we will not leave the house today at all. Oh wait, I am supposed to go to a free Holy yoga class at our church this evening. I might have to check with my friend (who is the instructor) to make sure she's still having it with this crazy weather. Hope you all had a fabulous Christmas! But I do have to do a few things: take care of the chickens go on a walk make my bed clean bathrooms track my food for the day make a hair appt. for Hannah call ortho for Hannah put on the super long Pride and Prejudice play with all the Christmas toys figure out dinner? And, I did something I've been wanting to do for years, but just kept putting it off, but now it's done and paid for, so I have to do it..... Despite her stinky attitude, dd11 cleaned up the living room when makes me feel much better. Ds is working on the dry wall. I'm too scared to go down and look. Let's just say that when you are in the shower and your 15 year old comes to tell you, "Mom, there is good news and bad news. I was using the crow bar and. . . " (The good news is that he said he'd fix it.) The last thing I want to do is to go outside to work on the car in cold weather when I'm already achy. But here I go. Yoga class is on for this evening and I do plan to go to that. I did one load of laundry and will probably do one more. DH emptied the dishwasher and is now dehydrating food for his camping trip later this week. DH and I cleaned out the tupperware cabinet, decluttered and reorganized. We also decluttered our cabinet that houses water bottles and cups. The kids ate much of the leftovers for lunch, so the fridge is pretty decluttered of leftovers as well! Car still needs to be shampooed and vacuumed but other than that, it is cleaned out. The bad news is that I still can't find dh's missing cell phone. . . Ds says he's put on another coat of joint compound that is drying. It's a good stopping point. I checked the garbage and all the overflowing garbage is gone? Did dh take care of it? It's a nice surprise! We've run out of time to eat at home before my next appointments so we'll stop at McDonalds which has upset my kids no end . . . Oh wait, they are excited! We're here eating leftovers, chatting, reading, uploading photos, and playing with stuff. We are debating going to a Boxing Party tonight. On the bright side: bathrooms are clean! I cleaned my room including the closet and vacuuming I went running with my college daughter and I didn't die! We got cards sent to cousins We tidied up the front room and the basement The chickens are doing fine Next up: clear off table (again) Laundry dinner sew on some patches for dh sew a skirt with college daughter ready set go wendy ps - I'm already planning tomorrow's big tree-take-down and garage clean out...
