Caroline
The title says it all. Denise, is your dd gaining back her strength? Is she feeling better? I have been thinking about her.
Denisemomof4
Aaawww, thank you so much! Today I told her I wanted her to start doing a little more, so she did morning chores. :tongue_smilie: I know she was tired but I felt a little light activity would do her good. she got a little tuckered out but I do notice her strength coming back, and her appetite, after we ordered the Chinese food she was craving! She ate the last of it today. She gained six pounds back! I am THRILLED because last year it took her over six months to regain weight lost after a virus. Today was her first full day out of bed or off the couch. She asked me to take her for a ride so we went to a small town and did some light walking around and browsing in artsy stores. It really tuckered her out so after a few hours we came back home so she could rest. The heat definitely contributed to her fatigue. She was SO HAPPY to get out of the house today and remnded me of it a few times. I just hope and pray her Lymes treatment won't make her too sick. I really believe the severe reaction to the virus is because her body is battling, and being worn down by, Lymes. She will be seeing a pediatric integrative medicine specialist at the end of the month, and she will also be seeing a rheumatologist, as well as the Lymes specialist in Sept. Thank you so much for your concern!:grouphug:

Caroline
I am so glad she is getting out of bed and doing stuff. I totally agree that the lyme disease made this virus worse. I hope she continues to heal.
SonshineLearner
Wow Denise! Good to hear. Lymes Disease sucks! I've got a cousin who got it long ago, and their Dr didn't treat it correctly :( I hear he's steady now... he did the pure oxygen treatments since he was losing his sight ;( It stinks!! :( Hope her body can kick it! It's good that it seems to be acknowledged more now :)

Progress comes in such small increments with Lyme, hang in there both of you! :grouphug::grouphug: For us, the rhematologist has been the most helpful, he is the one who has her in PT 3X a week with myofascial massage for HPA axis imbalance caused by her Lyme. Huge blessing and it is really helping her build back her strength and stamina.
