thundersweet
It looks perfect and exactly what I was looking for and always tried to pull off with SWR. Very open and go! My only beef with it is the paper the teachers manual is printed on. It's very thin. I feel like with every turn of the page, I'm going to rip it. I definitely need to be careful with it and won't be able to use those paperclip thingys to keep my place. I would rather see the manual spiral bound and on thick paper rather than hard bound with thin paper. Other than that....:001_wub: Sandy
fraidycat
Mine came this morning, too. Just before we were heading out the door to the beach. I haven't even taken the time to look at it since we got home. When I got home, I also had the SOTW AG and a math word problem book on my doorstep. I'm excited to start planning now. Mom2Es
I haven't tried it on my LOE manual yet, but I've had pretty good luck using magnet-based paperclips. I got them in the office supply section of Wal-Mart. They also work well for holding coupons to the refrigerator door and holding small stacks of index cards together. ByGrace3
You could always take it to Staples to cut off the spine and have it be spiral bound. :)
dtsmamtj
Still waiting for mine:toetap05:. My tracking said that it was somewhere in CA yesterday. Guessing it might get here by the first of next week.
thundersweet
You could always take it to Staples to cut off the spine and have it be spiral bound. :) I would but I think the paper is way to thin to support being spiral bound. My Staples would butcher it. lol Sandy
BatmansWife
Can you use a post-it note to mark where you are? Or, would the paper risk ripping when you peeled the post-it off? I haven't even gotten to order mine yet (next week!)...so I don't know how thin the paper is.
deerforest
I use sticky notes without a problem.
my2boysteacher
I use sticky notes without a problem. :iagree: Honestly, I didn't notice the pages being thin or fragile. With regular use I have not had any pages rip or tear.

I have not been careful with this book and have not had any problems with the pages tearing.
Quiver0f10
You could always take it to Staples to cut off the spine and have it be spiral bound. :) It's a hardback book so I don't think this would work?

Hmmm.....I still love it though so I can deal with it. Sandy
atozmom
I use these in everything. Love them. I will be using them in my LOE manual as well. Can't wait to start!! I had planned on starting before now, but I needed some down time. We have done no school so far this summer at all.
Hunter
Has there been a second printing already? Maybe the newer books are thinner than the older ones?
